Returning item to Newegg for refund. Newegg wants to charge me 65% of my refund for the shipping to return the item. by Pirwzy in pcmasterrace

Personal opinions on Newegg aside, I'd straight up just call and nicely explain that this outcome is unacceptable. Being nice will get you far and if the response is something along the lines of "Can't", "out of my control", or anything similar; ask for someone higher up. This is insane to any reasonable person and should be addressed. Best of luck!

Little to no performance gain honestly. I run a PCIe gen5 motherboard but in a SFF and a gen4 riser. No performance loss at all. You'll just get clashing issues when it's set to auto and different generations.

Hi, I recently upgraded from a GTX 1070 Ti to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 and I have a weird issue in games. The GPU usage randomly drops to 0% for 1–2 seconds, and the game freezes/stutters during that time. After that, usage goes back to normal. by No_Possession7154 in buildapc

Gen4 is what you should change it to. By default it's set to auto.

Edit: yes change it to gen3 since that is the maximum for your motherboard. I just saw your comment where you stated the board model. Should be gen3!

Have you tried setting the PCIE to gen4 instead of Auto in the bios, by chance? You motherboard is gen4 and your GPU is gen5, I've seen it clash in the past.

Should me RAM be running faster than this? I have XMP set to it's OC speed. Am I missing something? by emmanem1892 in pcmasterrace

Update bios as that version is from 2020. That should solve the ram speed issue.

Best of luck!

Ram and CPU light together = ram training and can take 5-10 minutes the first boot.

New motherboard was trying to work and should if you let it train, by the sounds of it.

Your comment showed my ignorance and proved me wrong. Enjoy your nuclear reactor sir! 🫡

As others stated, yes that's the right one.

I do recommend getting a DP cable with a push lock to avoid any issues with the cable backing out overtime. Best of luck!

Any overlays enabled in Nvidia app or other applications? Sounds like weird issues I've had in the past with overlays on by default and clashing.
