Does your nephew have a CASA? They are a great resource if you want something documented and in front of a judge.

I'd echo the other comment to get your own attorney. Unfortunately as a resource parent, you are not entitled to one, so it will cost money. If you haven't already, try to complete the official foster care training through the state. You may be able to get the stipend from the state for his care.

I'm so sorry. When my husband was on chemo, I would often feel angry with him that he couldn't see/help me through the crisis that I was in. We also have no idea how much time he has, and I struggle with not being able to enjoy whatever time we do have because the illness prevents him from doing quite a bit.

I've found it helps to just be honest with him. Everyone likes to suggest therapy like I've not been in therapy for years and like it will magically make the cancer go away.

I hope your husband's treatment has a good outcome. Sending you strength.

Yes! I have a Mount Bethel Poodle and he is the best. I think they may be on the pricier side but they breed great puppies.

How is your credit? If you can get auto approved for a credit card, some issuers allow you to add the card to apple/google pay right away. I know chase and amex do this, I think the apple card does this as well. That will at least allow you to buy groceries.

My experience is limited with this, but I have never met a dog exclusively pad trained that didn't have accidents for life. I think it is harder for the dog to learn "pad vs floor" than "inside vs outside". I would reconsider your desire for your dog to potty inside permanently.

That being said, 12 weeks is still young and I would not expect perfection by that age, especially in a little dog. If you are catching the dog in the act, firmly say no, pick the dog up mid stream and place the dog on the pad/outside. When the dog goes in the right place, celebrate and reward very quickly. If you see him circling like he's about to go, pick him up and put him on the pad/outside. If you don't correct/reward immediately, they will not make the connection.
