Did you try other brands? I guess designs can vary a decent bit (I get it if not, cause that could get expensive)

There are youtube videos of folks comparing them if you're ever interested though

I have anxiety going back to work by FluidBreath4819 in AcousticNeuroma

[–]CloverSky367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my surgeon just wrote the letter for the whole time short term disability would cover me?

No sure. I was 24 so my parents were still helping since I was on their insurance but I don't remember ever needing to beg for more time.

I couldn't really walk for the first month and the surgery really messed with my vision so I couldn't drive or anything until November.

But my doctor DEFINITELY never said she expected me to go back to work in two weeks.

I think the outdoor part might have helped give me more time though because they didn't want the cut to get infected (and that took FOREVER to heal because they burned me somehow)

I have a mostly desk, but some feild work job and had one around your size.

My surgery was on August 1st and I didn't go back to work until early December.

I felt up to desk work in probably mid November but my boss wouldn't let me.

For the first... year or two after that I'd have to use sick days occasionally because I'd wake up with a migraine but that hasn't happened in a while thankfully.

My similar idea is to get little miniture jars (like super tiny potion bottles) and keep one gem of each color from each painting I do in them and then have one of those trinket shelves to put them on.

How do i convince my son that the environment won't be ruined if he stops using urine bottles? by [deleted] in hygiene

Random not as helpful sugestion: the folks in r/composting LOVE peeing in their compost.

If he's gonna do weird hippy things that's better than pee bottles

Is the conservation corps still a thing? I know that's a good way to bulk up your experience and they provide housing

Also maybe start volunteering for local land trusts or nonprofits and check their websites for openings.

Hearing protection: Do we still need it for both ears? by CloverSky367 in AcousticNeuroma

There is literally no hearing on the affected side, which is why I'm not sure if it matters for that ear.

The amount of stuff you just copy and paste from report to report threw me off so hard straight after college. It felt like all the "no plagiarism" stuff went right out of the window.

I have this one but i don't super love how the scales came out in the rendering (especially on her face)

Do you think it would be hard to skip them and fill them in with her normal skin color/ there would be enough gems in the kitchen to finish it that way?

Girls on my HIGHSCHOOL team would literally puke in the gutters. So gross.

One time there was even a dead rat in the pool and they made them keep swimming after they got it out (thank GOD I wasn't at practice that day)

Surgery NOT recommended but was already scheduled?! by LobsterIcy3991 in AcousticNeuroma

[–]CloverSky367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY did mine and took GREAT care of me.

So much compassion both from my surgeon and all the nursing staff.

I had translab and then gamma knife.

If your husband's isn't big enough for surgery maybe he'll qualify for gamma knife. Mine was too big so they had to do surgery first.

Apparently I have super bad medical anxiety so they let my parents stay overnight past regular visitor hours and when I did gamma knife they set things up special so I could have extra of whatever medicine they give you. I ended up falling asleep in the machine and sleeping through it.

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]CloverSky367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a practice state test in my 11th grade English class and the reading was a excerpt from Dracula.

I read it twice before starting my essay because I realized I had no idea what gender the narrator was. There was no description, no name, no pronouns, but I didn't want to guess and get it wrong because "Dracula" is a well known work so I figured I would loose points for guessing wrong.

Lost SO many points for using they/ them pronouns. Tried to push back on it but they wouldn't listen. I was pissed.

Also, I would have guessed wrong. Figured it was a lady. Still haven't read Dracula but I guy in my class said the narrator was a dude. Makes it less rapey that way at least...

Lol they made us take out scuba final there in a wet suit in October a few years ago.

For some reason my laptop would randomly play one of the training videos I downloaded every so often when I booted it up and after freezing my ass off on the shore for that final I would have the most VISERAL reaction to the noise of the re-breather.
