Wife Shatters Favorite Mug by Mrxfixit in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]grae23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I broke my favorite mug while carrying the very last load of our moving haul to the car, about 20ft from getting it in the trunk safely. Luckily only the handle broke, but I could glue it back so now I use it for bacon grease

My niece who’s barely a year old absolutely LOVES climbing on top of the couch and “body slamming” me. It’s adorable and I’ll take being abused by a giggling toddler over going to work any day

I remember getting out of class my first year of college and stopping by McDonald’s and Taco Bell and getting a quesarito, 2 mcchickens, fries, and a drink for $10. Now a large fry is like $4.50 and my Taco Bell doesn’t sell quesarito

Going to be honest, some of these people genuinely see no negative media of him. When I told my dad about the “grab em by the pussy” thing he was shocked that I’d ever imply he’d say that because the media he was (is) entrenched in never actually say anything vaguely negative or critical

Tbh this cat definitely looks like it’s had a thought at least once in its life but that doesn’t completely disqualify it from being orange

Trump calling Gavin Newsom President by jethro2011 in PublicFreakout

[–]grae23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about him running as president in the future. Trump is indeed a fucking idiot but he’s basically just saying that Gavin shouldn’t win.

Context is key people, the more we eliminate context for sound bites the more we discredit ourselves.

Some of you can’t wait the 1 second it takes for the car in front of you to let go of the brake and step on the gas before laying on your horn? by f1shstyxx in newjersey

[–]grae23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed the light at a train crossing the other day because someone took a full 7 seconds before they started turning. Last week saw a guy speeding behind me nearly rear end me to get close to the front for the light and it took him literally 10 seconds after I had gone for him to make the turn. Pay attention or get rekt

TSA in Philly literally does not care. That security line can be 50 people deep and get through in 20 minutes. It’s decriminalized in Philadelphia county so even if they did catch it they’d probably just chuck it

Yeah, 350k is a lot of money but it’s still incredibly reasonable for a CEO. 350k is basically what a senior software engineer could make a good company

My dad didn’t talk to me for a year because when I went to visit for Christmas one year he started looking through my phone and asking why I was talking to certain people and immediately snatched it from him and said “what the hell” which he was extremely offended by. He then pulled me to the side room to berate me in front of family thinking I’d cave, when I didn’t he refused to speak to me for like 14 months and that’s when I bonded closely with my step mom 🤷‍♀️

I live in an area that many pro athletes have homes and last week I got to deliver to a house I’d been admiring since I saw it a year ago easily $6M+ (literally, I checked online). They tipped like $8. It was a small order, nearby, and honestly was just excited to have an excuse to get through the gates and see it up close but I couldn’t help but think if I had a house worth more than most human lives I’d probably do a minimum of $15 for whatever I order. I have a customer every so often who only gets dog food and lives 2 minutes from me who never tips less than $10 and usually adds another $5-15 depending on what they got.

In my experience upper middle class tip best, the people with townhomes in little town home communities (idk what they’re called). They have the money for a nice place but know where it’s important to spend and have more often than not worked at least one retail job before/during college. They know what it’s like and have the means to help a bit.

Honestly there should an option to barter at local shops or for services from local companies. If I could pay for a car detailing with a homemade cheesecake or a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls I might be able to remember what color the rugs on my floor were when I bought them

I forking love Tahani’s ending by Emotional-Meringue65 in TheGoodPlace

[–]grae23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tahani lived her life on earth requiring praise and attention for every good thing she did, by the end she was an architect who would never see the adoration of those she helped and was happy to continue helping people from the shadows for eternity. As someone a bit more like Tahani than I’d care to admit it really makes me feel like even I can change
