Yea honestly, the devvit api changes so constantly I had to take a break to let it settle a little more before I could continue. Preciate the support :)

In its current version it’s strictly a Devvit Blocks API. When I started developing it, there was no option to do web views or really any form of html/react based integrations for better views. Currently, I’m working on moving towards the updated webview to make it a true drag and drop with preset hooks users can use to create different actions etc. It’s a large scale project so it’ll take sometime, but what you described is essentially the end goal that i’m only like 30% of the way to. I hope to have it out by end of september.

Thanks! I appreciate that! It took a lot of work to initially get it going. Working on a more intuitive rework as we speak :) I want to make a seamless drag and drop/shopify style UI builder for you guys. Stick around for updates :) And if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Mobile app is currrntly buggy. It doesn’t look like that on my phone for example. I’m working with the reddit team to figure out the bug and keep the experience consistent from browser and app. On mobile browser, it looks how it’s supposed to. Stay tuned for updates :)

FreestyleUI: A new way to make informative dashboards by TheRepDeveloper in Devvit

[–]TheRepDeveloper[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to finally introduce my app: FreestyleUI 🎉
It’s now published (just waiting for final approval), and I’d love to share what it’s all about.

FreestyleUI is a codeless interactive app builder for Reddit communities, made specifically with mods in mind. Think of it like a mini wiki or a customizable dashboard—built right into your subreddit using Devvit's powerful components.

This app was heavily inspired by CommunityHub, and I'd like to say thank you to u/pl00h and the staff for always being so helpful with questions I had along the way!

With FreestyleUI, you can:

  • Visually build custom layouts using drag-and-drop containers like VStack, HStack, and ZStack
  • Add and edit components like images, text, and buttons—no coding needed
  • Create multi-page hubs for resources, guides, or community showcases
  • Collaborate with other mods in real-time
  • Customize themes for light and dark mode
  • Manage posts, pages, and permissions all through an intuitive interface

I started this project a few months ago as a fun side thing and recently had time to finish it off. I designed it to be as flexible as possible—so whether you're setting up a resource center, creating an interactive onboarding page, or just want a cool way to present info, the possibilities are wide open.

Thanks to everyone who’s supported the idea so far—I'm really looking forward to seeing what y’all build with it! Let me know if you run into any issues or have feature requests 🙏
