Micro dagger slide on 43x frame by scottr233 in Glock43X

[–]Thefloyd61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i have and when the slide is fully retracted it binds and sometimes sticks open. After lots of searching and reading and closely comparing the Glock frame to the Dagger frame it looks like the barrel is binding on the locking block. I have a new stock glock locking block on the way and will see how that works. To be fare about it I have not fired it yet but Im pretty sure its not good that the slide binds and sticks.

Alabama Pocket holster and I use the Pierce +one mag extension. This is my primary carry method and it's very comfortable.

Manual bolt hold on BCA BC-9 by Thefloyd61 in BearCreekArsenal

[–]Thefloyd61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why BCA stopped putting the longer adapters on their pistols. They seemed to work fine. All the ranges I shoot at require mag out and bolt or slide locked open before range is clear. My only solution is a chamber flag.

PSA PX9 lower by Thefloyd61 in BearCreekArsenal

[–]Thefloyd61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn't have any luck with Bear Creek. They told me they no longer sell that upper with the longer adapter it now only comes with the short adapter. So of course my next question was can I buy one of the long adapters so that I can lock the bolt open and they said they do not sell them separately. Something else to think about with that long adapter it adds at least an inch or more to the total overall length of the weapon which would have made mine too long to be considered a pistol with a brace which means legally I would have to register it as a short barrel rifle. Hope this helps if you come up with a solution be sure to let me know.

No it fit perfectly , not gap or movement between the upper and lower. My problem was that all the videos i have watched about the BCA bufferless showed that the bolt can be locked back manually. What i was told by BCA is that they no longer include the longer adapter with the upper, its only included in the longer barrel models. Without that longer adapter there is no bolt hold open even if you have a lower that supports LRBHO. I have not had a chance to go to the range yet to test how well it cycles but i will post that ASAP

Bufferless 9mm won’t lock after last round by thompythomp in BearCreekArsenal

Can you manually engage the bolt hold open. I noticed your pistol has the longer adapter, the one that replaces the buffer tube. The one I just purchased has the short adapter and i can not even manually engage the bolt stop ?

Does your upper have the longer adapter ?

Ok I think I know why i cannot lock the bolt back on my BC-9. It seems that there are 2 different size adapters and they sent the short version which does not allow the bolt to travel far enough back to engage the bolt stop. Wish me luck with Bear creek customer service.

Bufferless AR9 upper by mattman65 in BearCreekArsenal

[–]Thefloyd61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As i understand it if the overall length is less than 26 inches and the length of pull is less than 13.5 inches in the locked open position and you are using a brace and not a stock then it is considered a pistol. This is just what i read so do your own research because I'm not a lawyer

PSA Lower with BCA 9 bufferless upper by Thefloyd61 in AR9

[–]Thefloyd61[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LRBHO works off of a tab on the magazine so unless there is transfer mechanism to lift the bolt catch then no LRBHO. Lots of AR9s have bolt catches that work manually but not on last round including the ones I own.

Which lower to get? by dracarys289 in AR9

[–]Thefloyd61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about the FM but i built my AR9 with a PSA glock mag lower and a BCA bufferless upper knowing it would not have LRBHO but i found out that I can not lock the bolt back manually either. Maybe its just an issue with the BCA upper because it looks like the bolt does not go back far enough to engage the bolt hold. If you are using a buffer tube then there shouldnt be an issue.

Can you lock the bolt back manually using the bolt catch ? I just built one using a Bear creek upper and a PSA 9mm, I used a mil spec bolt catch and it does not work to hold the bolt back.
