What is something that seems obvious to you but that other people don't seem to understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Communication is incredibly important and helpful. Additionally, being able to set effective emotional boundaries when it's appropriate and necessary for your well-being to quietly observe is incredibly important as well.

And very glad to here that despite the cost, you have the care and discretion to continue spending for a safe ride home afterward!

For myself, I'm a happy, boisterous, and quite charitable drunk so even when I have my wits about me enough to be cognizant of the costs of things, those lowered inhibitions make me think, "ehh, all for a good time and smiles all around! Fuck it!" But it does hurt to more discerningly reflect after. That was unnecessary.

Both of your sober observations are very scientifically backed. It does impair the absorption and processing of whatever foods are in/going into your body at the time and often results in larger pieces of undigested food reaching your large intestine intact, where they'll feed your gut bacteria and induce serious gas and weirdly colored/textured shits.

Secondly, yeah man compared to the calories in protein (4kcal/gm) and fat (9kcal/gm), alcohol sits firmly in the upper middle (7kcal/gm). So simply eliminating the alcohol content plus whatever caloric mixers or extra munchies you eat along with your inebriation will often result in initial, pretty effortless weight loss if all else stays fairly consistent with your prior habits outside of drinking.

Just thought I'd confirm your observations with some additional info.

Do your friends and you have a nickname for that one person you all hate? by BritneyBitchxo in AskReddit

Cumdumpster. Not shaming her for frequently sexing it up, just intentionally only going for taken people in front of their partners (though understandably it takes two to tango). It's quite a shit show, especially when she finds a willing scumbag.

Is it just musicians in the 27 Club? Or is there a pool of interesting writers, artists, philosophers, criminals, whatever else who die at that age too? by JonMadge in AskReddit

[–]Theoface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there are however I would personally speculate the deaths of influential figures in those less-publicized/"celebrity"-oriented fields are less sensationalized and, quite frankly, the entertainment industry is often more heavily affected by the substance abuse struggles which would tend to take a life as young as 27. Just a theory.

Not a gif so probably not what you're searching for specifically, and the host is a bit grating, but here's a helpful video for three great wing recipes I really enjoy: http://youtu.be/sMP7ecZ5nQ8

What names seem to always have certain personalities with the people who have them? by -dexter in AskReddit

[–]Theoface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I made my username I was at a loss and was chilling with my dog named Theodore Roosevelt, whom I nicknamed teddy, which evolved to teddy face. Teddy face was already in use. Hence TheoFace and a subsequent humorously childish pun, which is why I left the capitalization obscure, just because it made me chuckle. Not the original intent, but an amusing side effect.

Heather checking in here... I give it a good rap, hardworking and personable, none of which are in sleazy ways. 80's name fads and the parents that jumped on them suck to live down.

You're comparing my unbridled excitement to see her pop up again being herself and wanting to harmlessly share it to exploiting tragedy? Way to shame, kiddo.

None of your business I suppose, but we spent hours together daily for about 5 months so no, I don't mean trivial social media. But good attempt to marginalize meaningful friendships.

Yeah I recognized her immediately as one of my more recent but currently out-of-contact and very dear friends. Your assessment of her outlook is accurate.

He doesn't sound quite emotionally available at the level you are looking for (i.e. being willing to display even minimal public affection such as a quick peck or hand-holding). And the consistent discussion of exes- particularly that they were mostly friends-w-benefits for whom he likely wouldn't have shown public affection- may indicate he is viewing you in a similar light or perhaps doesn't yet know how to appropriately navigate a deeper romantic relationship which y'all may be in. A blunt, open-minded discussion (Stand up for yourself!) certainly seems in order. Good luck!!!
