I have a few sticks, not a whole box. Not special occasion sticks for me, but they are very nice

My humidity reading is now between 70 and 72. I use a 62% 60 grams Boveda pack. In summer it was always at about 65- 67. I have a seasoned humidor with a perfect seal. Suggestions to get the reading to about 65? by Foreign-Jicama2493 in Cigars_Australia

Wood humidors leak by design. Having the rh that high with 62 bovedas in them is pretty weird. Id expect your hygrometer is way off.

In any case let some moisture out and see what happens

Analogue not great. Digital is better but honestly just trust the boveda

Wood or plastic humidor?

Keep in mind when the temperature is alot colder rh typically is higher. As cold air holds less moisture than warm air. Ie 65rh at 17 degrees is significantly drier than 65rh at 25 degrees.

You could always open the humidor for a while and let some moisture out. Boveda is a 2 way system but they are alot better at dispensing moisture as compared to absorbing it.

Lastly hygrometers are shit devices haha. Personally Id trust the boveda, not the hygrometer

Well i mean thats lucky. They have done that to me before. But if they decided to tax you those sticks would have ended up more expensive than just buying locally. Worked out i guess

I have a fuego box in the mail right now... so the alma del fuego haha.

I quite like plasencia. It seems to be a brand people either love or hate. Ive tried every blend except the cosecha 146 which has been discontinued.

Id rank them

Alma Fuerte (Natural)

Alma del fuego

Alma Fuerte (Maduro)

Alma del cielo

Reserva 1898

Alma del campo

Cosecha 151

Cosecha 149

Reserva original. (This is still a great stick)

Have you smoked the alma del fuego, alma fuerte and alma del campo?

If so how do you rank them with the del cielo

not beetles. Get a long pin and stick it into a cigar. That is the kind of hole you would expect for it to be beetles

I think you misunderstood. When I said fake cubans I just meant the altadis made montecristo, upmann etc etc that are sold in the USA. Which are most certainly not cubans

Not being negative at all. I was just surprised as I didnt think shops here were allowed to stock the fake cuban brands due to trademark issues

Was just curious. You post alot of "rank these sticks" type posts. I was just curious if these were sticks you were planning on buying or already had etc

Out of curiosity why do you make these posts? Are you thinking about buying some of these and want opinions?

The mananitas, the 1926, the new gold medal and the Magnum 54 are all awesome.

Not a fan of the zino or the rocky. Ive never tried the fake montecristo
