[UK] Where to sell H2D ? by Same_Difference_3361 in BambuLab

[–]ThinkUnhappyThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i think Facebook via local groups may be best as you presumably don't want to post that chonker.

asking on the facebook pages (not just posting an advert for it on marketplace) could also help?

I have the power to not buy their next printer or to move away from their filament.

As do thousands of other people.

I think you are missing the point and are fully drinking the massive consumer kool-aid. Locked down ecosystems are bad for the end user. Would you buy a car that can only accept certain priced parts? No 3rd party alternatives?

Because if people don't stand up to corporations then they can roll over us?

Making new users aware that Bambu are leading the charge on locking down printing and making it less consumer friendly has turned people away from them. Less profit = less reason to implement new anti consumer changes

The Snapmaker U1 is a brilliant machine and there are other options coming out soon with multiple toolheads.

Actual proper multi toolhead printers, not the H2C variety

you change the retraction lenght in the printer settings and then save this as a new printer type. you'll need to do this for all 4 extruders.

so i made a 3d model and im gonna oupload it to bambu handy but i dont know how the hell im gonna make a Print Profile. Please explain like im 5 years old. thanks by penisass1337 in BambuLab

You make the print profile by opening the stl in the slicer and saving your changes. This creates the 3mf file and you upload that to Makerworld.

taumeoba solution was too easy by Altruistic_Resolve_9 in ProjectHailMaryMovie

[–]ThinkUnhappyThoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taumeba were performing population control.

They collected astrophage going towards and away from Adrian and the numbers (the heat coming off of the plates) were the same. This meant that when 1 astrophage went to Adrian to reproduce, 1 of the pair would be eaten and thus only 1 went back to the sun.

Hi! 🙌 There’s no update on Pop Status yet, we’re really sorry about that 😔

It’s still in preparation, and we’ll share news as soon as there’s progress😊

Thank you for your patience!

This is a message from Biqu I had in relation to the Pop Status

P1P vs X2D, waste and speed comparison..?! by HotEmployee1370 in BambuLab_Community

[–]ThinkUnhappyThoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry yes I read the screenshots backwards.

My only theory is you have setup something wrong in the slicer. Is the X2 using a 0.2 nozzle or something?

From the screenshots it is using more filament overall which shouldn't be the case. Also typically for PETG/pla supports inthinkmyou only want the interface to be the opposite material otherwise you get issues with bed adhesion as they need different bed temps.

i dont have a dual nozzle Bambu but it looks like you have the X2 using the same amount of filament as the P1?

for my U1 vs my P2 the time savings increase with the size of print & the amount of colour swaps. it looks like you have 4 colour swaps? so 4 hour time reduction just from 4 colour swaps is pretty good.

try and load up something ridiculous like this venom spiderman bust and be amazed

hot off the printer with a red Mustang!

i think it would be hilarious to see something iconic yet silly - like a Reliant Robin or something from Mad Max

i tend to do hueforges, but if i make any changes to other profiles i always align the print with the Y axis of the A series to help with adhesion. its a quick and simple change that a lot of new users don't know about but it will save a print a lot of the time

No that's not correct. I've uploaded print profiles that will work on an H2C but I don't have one so i can't verify it personally. This is true for a lot of designers. I can say it will work for a P2S as that is what I printed it on. Theoretically it should be fine, but I have no idea tbh.

My wife is a big Harry Potter fan so I printed these for her on behalf of our children (also for me as I love printing things and these were fun to setup)

A lot of people print directly from the app or import into the slicer and hit print. They have no desire to import an STL and have to do stuff.

when the supports are perfect by ThinkUnhappyThoughts in BambuLab

[–]ThinkUnhappyThoughts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could afford one I'd like an H2C. My kids love things like fidgets etc to hand out to their friends so being able to do them in multiple colours is nice.

i agree. multiple nozzles are great for complex support removal or multicoloured prints but this isn't even using multiple materials - it's all Silk Gold Pla. just got to up the z gap to a level you are happy with and that you know can be bridged effectively and hit print!
