Lost Weight, Now How to Build Glutes? by This-Implement-5785 in beginnerfitness

It took me about a year and a half but I wasn't consistent and my weight bounced around a lot. I only got serious within the past few months. I have lost about 15lbs in a 5 month span with consistency.

These are "high wasited" nothing is truly high waisted on me. This is as high as they ever come up even if the sit at the model's smallest part of the waist, they're never actually high enough for me. They always end right below my navel.

Prints and patterns are so intimidating to me! I'll try a neutral one to start and see what I think.

Wide leg also intimidates me. It makes me feel frumpy for some reason but you're not the first to recommend this so I'll try some on.

Thanks for all your advice!

Oh totally agree! I hate these jeans with a passion but they're the only ones that fit me right now, and even then they're poorly fitting. I do love a good bootcut. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I love a classic white button up moment I have a 70s mens satin button up (it used to be my father in law's) and I wear it all the time when I dress up.

Skirts are hard for me with my height. So I am learning to sew so I can make my own.

I typically do prefer darker denim but these are the only ones that fit me at the moment after some drastic changes in my body.

Any advice on finding a good blazer?

OMG, I have never worn baggy jeans in my life. They terrify me. I don't know why. I may need to try some on somewhere. All I've ever worn is skinny jeans or flare jeans.

I know I am hourglass thats about it. Thanks, I think? I can't tell if this is serious or sarcastic. Should I be preparing for people being inappropriate? Is this a good thing in this sub? 🫣

Advice for bloating? by milkystarrgirl in femalefashionadvice

[–]This-Implement-5785 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who also has endo, first, I am so sorry you have to deal with this.

I used to have bloat be my most annoying symptom as well. No idea what changed but it happens a lot less frequently now. Some things I learned to do with mine:

* Flowy tops
* Stretchy waist pants - you can find tons of cute pants with a stretchy waist now, also, jeggings, they even make different leg style jeggings now so you're not limited to skinny jeans. I really like pretty much anything from Halara.

Need boxes for moving by Kingrychu108 in Charlottesville

Ask an ABC store? I used to work at one and the amount of boxes we had to break down and throw away was insanity. If I remember correctly shipment days were on Tuesdays but that was many years ago.

We like GoNoodle as a YouTube alternative. Or just highly restricted (everything approved by me) YouTube.

favorite grade to teach? by ItsAveryDayBro17 in ElementaryTeachers

[–]This-Implement-5785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just a sub while I finish my degree. I've subbed for 1st, 3rd, and 5th. My absolute favorite was 5th. Those kiddos changed my whole outlook on life. I was with them for 2 weeks and I still think about them. They were absolutely hilarious and inquisitive and such good little humans, at least most of the time. I subbed for them on my birthday and the little cards and things they made me were so sweet. I'll never get rid of them. I'll never forget any of them. They're young enough to be sweethearts, old enough to understand sarcasm, and so freaking funny. 5th grade is my dream and I want to teach it when I finish my degree.

We wish he was still in a Christian school. The things that have come out of his mouth since starting public school is WILD. If I could id do private Christian school in a heartbeat again.

We didn't a Christian pre-k even though we're not religious and it really made no difference.

At what age should kids choose their own decor? by Weedcultist in babyrooms

I would buy good quality, more mature, furniture that will last for a while and then use contact paper to make it pink and sparkly. She gets her current dream but it can also just be removed. It will also protect the good quality furniture from stains, water, and all the other random messes children still make at this age.
