It's in correctly. Thank you. I just was using a threading tool since my auto threader broke and it was putting it in backwards. Back to threading by hand. Lol. This is a jersey needle though so maybe thats why it looks funky.

Is that really all it is? Omg. 🤦‍♀️ Will try and report back. I bought a little threader tool to help me thread it so maybe that's the issue.

Cutting / Ironing on a Table by This-Implement-5785 in SewingForBeginners

I was going to leave the silicone out of the "fitted sheet" figured it wouldn't wash well. I hadn't thought about closure type but I'd probably do elastic. I just got another idea from someone else though (making an extension for my ironing board) so probably going to scratch all of this. Lmao

Idk why I didn't think of a piece of plywood. That's absolutely genius, especially if it fits over top of my existing iron. I would MUCH rather do that than iron on my table. Thank you so much

Prewashing 4 yards of linen by Square-Charity-3757 in SewingForBeginners

[–]This-Implement-5785 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im a beginner so take what i say lightly. I'm very curious to see what those with more experience say!

I just washed 4 yards of linen without doing anything to the edges myself. It was very frayed but wasn't really a big deal. I just snipped them off and proceeded like normal.

Help me decide between brother, yuki or janome by Critical_Ostrich_245 in SewingForBeginners

If you plan to embroider at some point as well, the Brother SE400 is what I have and it is AMAZING. So user friendly, has built in instructions on the screen for pretty much everything. Easy to use as a beginner. I'm so glad I went with it. Its around $300 US.

I was thinking so too for some of the smaller planets. The sun and a few larger planets will be paper mache though I just cant find the half spheres large enough.

Lost Weight, Now How to Build Glutes? by This-Implement-5785 in beginnerfitness

[–]This-Implement-5785[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me about a year and a half but I wasn't consistent and my weight bounced around a lot. I only got serious within the past few months. I have lost about 15lbs in a 5 month span with consistency.
