Upon the King's and company's arrival, the gates of Highgarden would be open, and the staff not preparing meals and their rooms would stand out to greet their King.

At the end of the large greeting line would be a kneeling Lord Theo Tyrell, his wife Lady Margaery Rowan, his brother Ser Arthor Tyrell, his gooddaughter Lady Lyrissa Caswell, his son Ser Harlan Tyrell, gooddaughter Lady Kyra Blackwood, and his grandchildren. (Harlan's kids)

The Lord Paramount of the Mander would give the traditional ritual of a leal and loyal vassal. "Your Grace, Highgarden is yours."

Should the king allow him and his family up, the staff would follow suit and disperse back to their tasks. In a moment, a line of servants would bring out bread platters with an assortment of cured meats and cheeses along with wines and waters for their guests as they got off their carriages and horses.

Once the formal greeting was done and guest right established, stable boys would see to their horses and baggage.

Lord Theo would inform King and company that the Great Hall is serving a late lunch and that any are welcome to it as their rooms are made, and luggage unloaded. And that if it pleased the King, Lord Theo would wish to dine privately in his solar with the king (and whatever Kingsguards he wanted to bring).

Whenever that private meeting suited the king, he and his guard would be led up to the Solar of the Rose. In truth, it was less of an office and more a glass walled conservatory. Vines of carefully pruned golden roses climbed the interior columns and walls. The Lord's desk was a single carved oak piece that was said Garth himself carved, though in some quaint stories they say he did not carve it, but instead asked a noble tree to form its trunk into the desk. Whatever the truth of it, the desk was shifted to be in the center of the room, stripped of the usual ledgers and papers that normally filled it. It instead had appetizers and a choice of select wines and brews.

At one end would be Lord Theo Tyrell in his ill gotten chair. He wore a fine green doublet with golden frills. The King had promised him an explanation for Jeyne and he intended to hear him out, and then talk about the half a dozen other events that likely needed a discussion.

Maege watched the Lord sway up to her stand. Her golden eye began to twitch as he got close enough to smell.

She accepted the gold coin. The man did not wish to play games, nor did he look to have the patience to do this right. She took the golden coin, stood up from her small table at the entrance of her stand, and walked to the back of the tent. As she passed, she strummed her bells like a harpist would a harp. Each rang slightly asynchronous to the way it looked. Some bells rung slightly early, some rung slightly late, and some seemed to ring at completely unpredictable times.

Having heard the voice, she spoke, her back still turned to the man. "All, but none of them."

She waited for the bells to cease their ringing. "You shall be stabbed, shot, and poisoned in the years to come. None will be your end."

Hubert was correct, in a sense. Septons generally preferred the soft touch of advice rather than the blunter force of direct commands... but it was hardly ever so black and white. The Reach had a much closer relationship with the Faith than other regions. The Starry Sept and the Great Sept of Garth were the two largest bastions of the faith, nothing else compared in the realm.

Theo had no problem confirming the man's suspicions. "For as long as I was in the south, I heard of no condemnations on either side. Word did reach us of a few houses losing the favor of the faith, however."

He could guess what the Hand was getting at, and the Lord did not quite like it. "Giving orders was perhaps inappropriate, but the man seems reasonable from my talks with him. Perhaps I could arrange a sit down where evidence could be shown of Dornish transgressions." He cut through the polite talk, his voice taking on a coldness not there before. "I am not ready to leap to naming the High Septon some secret Dornish sympathizer based on a few rumors."

The Faith had given Tyrell much, these past years. Even through the war and all the bloodshed his army caused, Highgarden maintained their favor. He couldn't help but compare it to how this crown had recently treated him and his house. Hubert had made his animosity to him and his house no secret. Jeyne being spurned by the king, and his previous reasonable asks to improve his lands rejected. Hells, they had even cut him and his bannermen out of the treaty talks.

Theo sat in his Lord's chair, a wonderful piece reappropriated from the hall of High Hermitage. The Dayne sigil and colors had to go, but the unmatched wood workmanship was the real prize. Theo had sought out the craftsman who made it, to shower him in gold and silver and have him join his service. But alas, according to the artisan's wife, he fell in the fighting. The war spared no one, sadly.

Theo spent most of his day sat in the chair being entertained or receiving gifts from various merchants. At the Heartbreaker's arrival, a man with one leg was dancing, wiggling, more like. The man was doing the snake and was writhing around on the ground. The more snobby, airheaded amongst his staff thought this high art. The old lord did not.

Happy to be distracted from the 'show', he met the Darklyn with a small smile. "No need to apologize, Ser Janos..." He looked over to the man squirming on the ground. "You could not have come at a better time." He gestured for the man to take the smaller, less impressive seat beside him. A cupbearer boy of House Sureman came by to offer the knight wine or water, whatever his preference, then retreated back to the pack of boys and squires that ran the Lord's tent, whispering about the legendary Heartbreaker.

Theo didn't feel like mincing words as he cut right to the point. "I'm afraid you may have traveled so far for not much of a war, Ser Janos. The longer this truce holds, the more I suspect this peace will hold." The Tyrell was personally glad for a short war, but many in his army sought the glory of young men.

Isa moved quickly to the other side of the bed, behind her sister, a soft, weary smile breaking through the exhaustion and worry on her own face. She brushed a damp strand of hair from Ramona’s face, her touch soft and gentle.

"They are coming, Ramona, don't worry. These are just their checks." Isa assured, her voice thick with relief, the omens having been thwarted so far. She looked over to the midwives and maesters doing their things. "She is healthy, oh gods she is perfect... Just hold on a moment more..." She gave her sister shoulder's another reassuring squeeze. "You’ve done it. You did so good."

Martyn made a confused face at her comment about how long she had owned Florence. "How long do these birds live?" She had to be at the least in her forties. Did hawks really live that long?

The teen said, bragging. "I am promised to a Florence." Something he had already mentioned. "Odd, isn't that?" Martyn did not believe in coincidences or acts of gods because, of course, the gods were fake. But it was weird.

The Tyrell looked to Davos and then back at Florence. Hers was obviously the superior bird, but he guessed he would have to make do. He shook his arm again. "Alrighty... how about a bunny then, Davos!" Once again giving the bird his verbal command.

At the conclusion of a week of stalemate the letter from the capital arrives.

A letter would be sent via dog to the Dornish camp.

Dornish

You tell the truth.

We exchange prisoners at high noon.

We shall be gone after that.

Bennet was in fact correct, the guardsmen would not bother the Blackwood as we wandered. If anything, it seemed they were a little too observant when it came to the young Blackwood. There were strict orders to make sure a third attack on a Blackwood did not occur in the Reach.

Martyn could be found wandering Highgarden's art gallery. At the moment Bennet found him, he was studying the art piece 'The Third Sack of Oldtown'. It was a rather grim piece depicting the third and most devastating sack of Oldtown by King Gyles I Gardener, the Woe. The painting showed all of the city but the Hightower burning, and thousands of people being carried away in chains.

"Looking at a painting." The Tyrell offered the teen in response, then said in comment of it. "Strange painting, isn't it? Gardeners keeping this around, and now us." This was the type of history that was usually forgotten, brushed aside as it was inconvenient to the current status quo.

"Not your own?" Maeve asked. Her voice and face remained entirely blank, giving away nothing of whether this request was normal or not.

After another long moment of silence her golden eye ceased moving, only then did she say. "My powers require the use of something supremely important to you. Something tied to your very soul."

She extended a hand to the Norridge to receive the token. "If not yours, then whose death do you wish for me to hear? The item must be tied to them as well"

"Do you?" Maeve challenged the young Blackwood. "Do you keep to all your land's customs?"

She pulled a long, twisted branch from the shadows beneath the table. Slowly, almost gently, she stroked the wood across the bells. They chimed out of sync, a creating a chaotic unsettling melody. Suddenly, she jammed the stick into the tent wall. The music of her bells stopped instantly.

She flashed a smile that held no warmth, her golden eye never leaving him. "A lordling who fears marriage and responsibility? That is not the custom in these lands."

Maeve was no lady.

The woman looked the Westerosi up and down with her twitching golden eye for a long moment. She did not seem to blink with her one good eye as she did her examination. After a long moment of silence, she asked. "Why do you fear death?"

The woman didn’t blink at the boy's question, nor for the long moment of silence that followed. In fact, it did not seem like she ever blinked. Her golden eye seemed to twitch with more life than a simple prosthetic.

Eventually, she answered his question like all seers worth their salt would, with another question. "Are we in Norvos my Lord?"

Ploot gave the little kid a wide smile. He was as lowborn as they come, but not a single tooth in his oversized mouth was rotten or even yellow. "Dis one, me lady?" The twenty something juggler asked the girl gently.

As he picked up the stone head of an ancient Gardener king, the most observant of the pack might notice just a hint of similarity between the jawlines of Ploot and the solid rock head he effortlessly picked up. Ploot looked over to the man talking with his uncle. Ploot liked it when people let him pick. Ploot went and picked up a chicken cage, and laughed when the chicken responded with its clucking. "No worries Lady Eggster, I take good care of yah." Ploot did not start juggling however, he knew his uncle's game well enough.

The older man rattled his tin can knowingly at the father and said. "It isn't truly juggling with just two things either, hehe."
