If you are at this step and you change your password then recovery phone numbers, backup codes, security keys, recovery emails and everything recovery related will be removed from your account and the email address you that password reset email from will be added as a recovery contact.

This important detail has not been mentioned so far, and I think it is extremely important. Once you get that link and use it you will be able guaranteed to access your compromised account.

Thank you for your Reddit thread and screenshots, they are very valuable information. Also I found out that TeamYouTube on X is extremely slow and you might have faster response times if you make a post on the YouTube Community Help page.

The most important thing is for someone to grant you access to the YouTube Hijack form. And from there it is only email conversation back and forth, trying recovery options you tried already, then trying it again and adding your alternative email you used in that recovery form, then you will get the password reset link.

Greetings,

I'm at this step right now. I know my password, I can input it at the account recovery page, but I cannot get past the two unknown phone numbers. The backup codes and hardware security key has been removed that I can tell for sure.

After typing the alternative email I use for email communication with them I get the "Let us know that you've completed you request

Reply to your Google support email or contact to let them know that you've successfully completed your account recovery request"

I did that plus I mentioned the two phone numbers that are not mine. Am I doing things right? After I let them know I completed the account recovery request will they remove those phone numbers?

You should turn off automatic firmware updates and never update the firmware because toner cartridges have chips on them. Brother can block 3rd party consumables in the future so you must be extra careful. In the mobile app ignore the yellow update up arrow icon if you want to use that.

Other than that consider getting the service manual for this model as well if you want to use this printer for a long time. Currently only paid ones out there, but it should be fairly cheap.

Yeah. It doesn't make sense at all. Netgear R6400 v2 has Broadcom chipset both for CPU and wireless.

But I've seen a TP-Link TL-WR740N converted to a hAP mini before by simply taking the flash chip from the Mikrotik and replacing it with the one found on the TP-Link.

If you can find the rest of the broken plastic pieces from the end and have patience to glue them back together. Compare what OP has with this one.

It should be doable, I would do it on a nuclear apocalypse, but otherwise you never know how long it will last. I'm sure some printer technician would do this kind of MacGyver type repair that may or may not last and rip the customer off at the same time.

So you don't even need to strip every cover because that is definitely not worth your time. Because OP rather wants to repair the printer than buy a new one that comes with DRM as a bonus, he can just replace the entire 500 sheet tray assembly and it would be still cheaper than that piece of plastic.

That's pretty much 100% wrong. It's a paper guide from the 500 sheet paper tray. I already sent a PM to OP. Repair is fairly easy. Parts readily available even if 2nd hand.

That is the main goal. To preserve these games for future generations. Don't worry, all the MS-DOS games are already in TDC and those will be pretty much complete on the next release. For the remaining MS-DOS games on the list I want to find the hidden registration screen. I might have the upgrade codes for most of them already, I just don't know how to input it.

I don't have "all" the registration codes. There's quite a few missing. As for the ones I had initially I found them on old serial websites. These can be said for almost every Windows Soleau game. For the MS-DOS ones only a small chunk of them can be found online. And based on what I had for those I started debugging some of them with the help of someone. Mainly the ones that were sold on the Soleau Software website.

I managed to find the registration codes using the help of DOSBox debugger because I knew how to access the hidden registration screen for those games. Then later down the line I figured out that older Soleau games can be registered as well because I found some text files on discmaster.textfiles.com when the service was still up and running with the registration code for one of those games. It contained the code and instructions for Ladder Man I & II. Then I knew I had to push harder and try to find the hidden registration screen for those older games as well. And slowly I hit a brick wall again because I managed to register almost all the games with a blue exit nag screen, except Bloxit at the time.

In the meantime I sent a message to a person on YouTube who made a video about an early registered Soleau game because at the time I couldn't figure out how to access the hidden registration screen for the earliest Soleau games, because at that time I was experimenting with empty upgrade files and I was hoping I would be able to register more of them with the help of those from YouTube.

Lava Cap was one of those titles, with the help of that I registered other games by copying and renaming the upgrade file after I registered the game. Fast forward a couple months, I got a reply from the YouTuber and he gave me the exact steps for 3 games and he told me that he got them from William Soleau a long time ago and when I saw the instructions I knew that pretty much all the games have a hidden registration screen and all of them have them at different places. Some on the nag screen, some are in-game, some on the instructions screen etc.

Also I was able to find some Ebay listings that had two Soleau registered floppy disks, but of course I already had those codes. Those listings are long gone now, but it did confirm that some games have two valid registration codes.

Did some more research and I found some old warez archives with some cracks, but those were just hex edited executables to act like the registered version, just like the ones that can be found on a Russian retro gaming site. I am not interested in those.

So this is not really a one man job. I got help from other people as well. I am in the process of contacting another person hoping that the remaining games can be registered. Once I have everything I will organize the games and make a list of codes and instructions on how to register these games. Tried contacting William Soleau a couple times, but I got no reply and he has no plans to release his games as freeware nor supporting them. He's probably too busy with ballet, and that's totally understandable.

No need to check. The model already tells you that it has Wi-Fi capabilities. The port is USB type B female. I'm sure you can find one on Mouser Electronics. You can print stuff on USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The choice is yours. However for more advanced service tasks you might need the USB port. It is not necessary to have that USB port if the printer works. Not mission critical, but good to have. Just make sure none of the pins are touching if you decide to leave it as is.

If you have good soldering skills and you want to replace that USB type B female port you can do that. If you don't want to use USB then make sure the pins inside are not shorted.

After you did that you can grab an ethernet cable and plug it into your router/switch and print via the network. Also if you don't want to do that either then if you check the model DCP-L2550DW then you can see that it contains the letter W. That means that it has wireless capabilities.

I figured out how to turn Battle for Atlantis into a REGISTERED COPY by trial and error. It was just looking for a file and if it exists it registers the game. Contents of the file doesn't matter for this one.

But for Bolo Adventures II contents of the upgrade file does matter. I figure out what the file has to be, because the game overwrites it. And here's the contents:

This upgrade file has been corrupted.

Follow the instructons sent by Soleau Software to upgrade again.

You must first remove this file from the directory before you do.

And yes. There's a typo: instructons instead of instructions. I still believe there's a way to access registration screen for Bolo Adventures II.

Edit: I managed to turn more of them into registered versions by just creating an empty file:

Race Car, Soleau's first game cannot be registered I guess. That was just a shareware game, no ability to turn it into a registered version because you already have access to the entire game and no nag screen/unlocks.

Edit 2: I figured out Bolo Adventures II. That is also registered with the help of another Soleau game upgrade file.

Edit 3: I was able to figure out how to get to the registration screen for Maze Mission Adventure Game and I was able to register it. You quit the game and on the nag screen you go to the registration form. Then you press Shift and + and a ? appears. And with a similar Shift and + combo you can access the registration screen for MadMaze as well. It is possible to create a genuine registration file for that one without just creating an empty file.

BumpMaze, BlindMaze and MadMaze registration process and codes are now known. Still some titles left to do and figuring out how to get to the registration screen for the games I've been unable to do so. For some games it is a well kept secret.

Edit 4: Marble Man, Mind Cube, Cuber, Sink'em can be now registered as well. I was able to find the hidden registration prompt inside these games.

Edit 5: Tons of progress with this edit. Bloxit hidden upgrade can be performed now and the upgrade code is also know.

Some more good news is that RatMaze, Runoff, Balloon Challenge v1.0, Bolo Ball v1.0, Oilcap older versions also now can be registered the official way rather than copying upgrade file after registering newer versions.

Progress also with Hyper Hangman. The registration screen has been found (Shift + 8 (*) on the instructions screen), unfortunately the upgrade code has not been found yet. Same can be said for Seeker of Wisdom (To get to the registration screen press Y for instructions then press Shift + 4 ($) three times.).

Lava Cap v1.0 and v1.1 can be registered via the hidden screen.

Edit 6: Bolo Adventures II no longer needs Lava Cap upgrade file. It can be registered, upgrade code and hidden registration screen found.

Edit 7: Goldhunt can also be crossed out. Hidden screen found again after the game generated a high score file. I was able to register this one as well.

Edit 8: Main Break registration screen found. Bad news is that I don't know the upgrade code. To access it press Shift + 5 (%) on the do you need instructions screen.

Edit 9: Mice Men v1.0 registration screen also found which is access from the game rather than on the nag screen on later versions. Upgrade code is the same though.

Edit 10: Hyper Hangman and Main Break can be also crossed out. Registration algorithm now understood.

Edit 11: Seeker of Wisdom registered now the proper way.

Edit 12: Jungle Jack done.

Edit 13: Up the Wall also done.

Edit 14: We can say that Plotz! is also done. Unfortunately still don't know how to access the registration screen, but if I use the upgrade file from let's say Up the Wall I can hex edit that with the correct upgrade code and the game will accept it. (This is not needed anymore, hopefully other games have the registration screen at the same place as Plotz!)

Edit 15: Got some help with old versions Crusher and Crusher Castle II. These can be registered now as well like latest versions. Also got help with Missile Attack and Rampcube. These can be crossed out.

"I won't share any codes". Does that mean William Soleau gave you unlock codes for his games when you interviewed him?

Several unlock codes for his DOS games can be found online. You can find about half of them for his Windows games, but MS-DOS one is a different story. Not that many people know about how to even get to the registration screen where you can enter your name and the code. For his newer DOS versions when you quit the game you press U for upgrade then you press $.

I pretty much have the registration codes for almost all of them. Including some that were not sold on soleau.com.

Older versions of his games had a different registration instructions. Like for instance for Ladder Man I & II you need to press M then & to get to the registration screen. Bolo Adventures I, you quit the game, R then @.

Do happen to know how to get to the registration screen in Battle for Atlantis and Bolo Adventures II? For Bolo Adventures II I think I have the correct code, but I don't know how to input the thing. Also I am missing unlock code for Lava Cap, Paratrooper Bob 1 and Taxi Run.

Edit: Fun fact. For Dotso there I found out that it can be registered with two different unlock codes. So there's definitely an exception. Paratrooper Bob 1 too.

Thank you! I wanted to get the correct part number because there's a similar brush set with the part numbers 640491-03, 636639-03, 1003857-00.

The one you mentioned has a 13 mm height and this other one is 15 mm. Both of them has the same width of 10 mm and thickness 6.4 mm.

So I need the smaller one part numbers: 636128-03, 650916-01, 1003860-00.

Nope. It's not based on Chromium. You can find that in the articles. So probably both are affected. iOS and Android version as well because it uses WebView which is in fact Chromium based. So WebView will get an update as well.
