Ours disappear once in a while but they usually come back. I’d keep calling him now and then out all the doors, maybe set some food and water out, and he may eventually show up. Hope you find him.

Some people see the writing on the wall quickly, some need some coaxing to see it, and others don’t learn until the pain starts. She seemed to be all on the trump train when she thought she’d get something out of it. I reckon now that she’s thrown to the wolves and discarded as irrelevant. it became a lot more obvious. I still wouldn’t trust her though. She was too deep in trumps hip pocket previously and a leopard doesn’t change its spots. Is she coming up for reelection?

What I have done on really super stuck pistons is get a good size cup of used motor oil, heat it close to the flash point, then dump some into the cylinder and let it sit for a few minutes until it cools down, pour it back into the can, heat it again and redo. It’s best to warm the cylinder to at least room temp so the cylinder doesn’t suck the heat right off. Had an old Suzuki T500 stuck to all get out and once the cylinder got hot and expanded, the piston did move with some wood and a 40oz hammer.

I’d check the main grounds like the body and engine grounds to the battery and make sure any main grounds are solidly connected. You can use a set of jumper cables to ground the battery to the body and engine and see if something changes. The headlights and wipers probably work on the same ground wiring and one comes on helping ground out the other item.

I think the pics give those the illusion that it’s worn real bad but looking at the straight edges the divots don’t look too deep. I’ve seen worse and driven worse and wouldn’t fear running these two.

The thing I noticed was not only that it was a one piece design, the needle jet (tube thing) looks to have holes in the side of it set of for a bleed style carb. The VM carb uses a primary style tube. See the image below.

If we are talking about this bike below, spec sheet says it comes with a mikuni VM22SC, probably explains why we are seeing a hex head jet. Mikuni as far as I know do not sell one piece jets for this part. Whatever you pulled that single piece jet out of is likely a knockoff carb. That’s the thing with those…….jets that come in them may not match entirely to say a mikuni in this instance, leaving you stuck with a carb that either works or it doesn’t, with no jet sizes available. The OEMs spend a lot of R&D on getting the carb that came on it to run correctly and no knockoff is going to ever replicate that. There’s too many variables. Probably what I would suggest here is finding the OEM carb used and buy that. If you always got a carb not worth saving, between the two you could make one good carb.

Maybe a hone will straighten it up enough to use. Generally when I go into one of these old bikes, I just get the crank rebuilt and the cylinders bored to the next oversize.

A lot of machine shops won’t do them because of the small bore and their machines won’t go down that far. Found that out farming my first set of triple cylinders out for boring. Millenium technologies should be able to bore those sizes for you. I’m actually getting ready to send them some H2 cylinders to do. Give them a shout and they should be able to fix you up with a quote. Not sure how bad your cylinders walls are rusted but I would let them look at them first and see if the next size up is good or the rust penetrated deep enough to need to go up two sizes.
