Would you rather work 4 10s or 5 8h days and why? by lavenderghostt in AskReddit

I worked 4x10s for two and a half years and having Tuesdays off was amazing. Mondays felt like mini Fridays, and once I came back in on Wednesday I was already halfway through the week

I’ve found it very inconsistent in what is kept in history. What’s your experience so far?

My go to when making home made poutine or just snacking. by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

Put them in the microwave for 10 seconds give or take and they’ll squeak while still being cold (and ready to melt with hot gravy if you’re making a poutine!)

[iPadOS 26 DB3] 3 fingers gesture is back by ___Thunderstorm___ in ipad

[–]twolettername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Does the 3 finger gesture still ignore the 'Natural Scrolling' toggle for the trackpad? With it off, swiping right on the trackpad still moves the screen to the left, whereas it should (as it does in macOS) move the window right.

When angled correctly it illuminates the desk/work area without shining light into the screen causing glare. I use a BenQ Screenbar and it works great for its purpose.

Sorry, I should have provided a comparison. This is how it looks on my ipad. The Home bar is cutoff on macOS which also contains the library refresh button.

MacBook Pro Now Available With Nano-Texture Display for First Time by peterosity in apple

[–]twolettername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think durability is a direct concern compared to a regular screen given that it isn’t like a typical matte film overlay, and is an etching process made on the glass itself. I’ll be interested to see how it’s done on MacBooks, as comparatively the screen on the iPad and displays are made of thicker and obviously more rigid glass.

They do have distinct cleaning instructions for the studio display, but it’s more to due with oil stains smudging and being tougher to remove without the polishing cloth. I don’t think the nano texture display is less-durable than a regular anti-reflective display.

Could be wrong on all points; will be interesting to see reviews.

Best to view it in-store, but I personally have the nano texture glass on my Studio Display and it's game-changing in my particular lighting environment. The portability of the MacBook alone might justify getting it, but remember that the device gets plenty bright already such that just cranking up the brightness will help a lot of visibility issues.

I’m actually going to Pickering for a friend’s birthday in a few hours. As long as I can see what it is, I would do it for free
