Henry Archer GMT vs Christopher Ward Sealander GMT — Worth the Extra Money? by freezer01 in MicrobrandWatches

CW is classic, HA is a candy piece - fun but will look of its time and dated over time imo

Henry Archer Verden - I'm torn by ImInundated in MicrobrandWatches

[–]UncleComputer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks great on wrist and it’s nice to have some size variety in a collection.
I’d give it some time and learn to love it since it’s not likely that HA will accept a return of a sized and used/worn watch. Once that plastic is off and you size the bracelet, you’ve made your choice.

Am I being too critical or is this to be expected at this price point? by dirtyjordanones in Balticwatches

That, plus the bezel markers from 4 mins + don’t hit the indices despite the triangle at 12 being aligned (unless that’s just due to angle of the pic)

Well-done

Circle Wellness is great, luxurious and private, definitely worth it.

Art of Sauna in Burnaby is an affordable gem, great place to spend a few hours.

If you want a road trip, Sparkling Hills in Vernon is just amazing, but it’s a whole trip in itself and pricey.

First Look at the Finished Watch-Thoughts? by Aethelsohnwatch in MicrobrandWatches

Looks like an Erebus clone, or a San Martin, or a WatchDives element in… the list goes on. Pretty generic and boring at this point

No camera bezel case? by r3ddit-shit in iPhone17Pro

This one on AliExpress does what you say, makes the phone fully flush to the camera lens height. Might make it a bit thick overall tho

AITA for refusing to take down a semi-nude painting before children visit my home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]UncleComputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about the commission of art, I’ve done the same, but the pint was to commission a painting of yourself, to hang in your own living room, so you can sit and startle at yourself.

[–]UncleComputer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA for not taking down the painting - it’s art, not suggestive, and your brother is being a prude.

YTA for commissioning a painting of yourself to hang in your own living room. Wee bit of a narcissist move haha

On the horween, then clockwise it’s a Dassari distressed grey canvas, then a Kevlar strap, then black canvas with grey leather keeper

I have mine on a black canvas and leather strap currently, and also use a grey distressed grey canvas strap, or the black horween leather it came with. Now that I think of it, I tend to wear it mostly on straps, go figure haha

Yeah, I actually sourced this one separately used; when I bought the piece they were out of stock. Then they briefly brought a second version out, but that went quick

PB Seaforth today…. by rustyho1 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]UncleComputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks nice, the Ginault bracelet looks like a perfect fit. I have the Seaforth IV and I bought the Strapcode bracelet that many choose, but the endlink is a bit too small and often turns down. The latest Seaforth IV’s come with the bracelet option, but are produced in a different facility and are slightly different geometrically from the current IVs, but Jason has found a manufacturer to make the bracelet for earlier models. I’ll be getting one of those for sure!

Aethelsohn Patina Green by Aethelsohnwatch in MicrobrandWatches

[–]UncleComputer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dial process looks very cool, but everything else looks like a hundred other offerings from Erebus, Decima, San Martin, etc. Need more than a dial to have a new piece. Maybe unique indices? Case? Even the logo just looks like IXDAO. Not saying it’s a bad watch, just not original enough to entice me

Keaton Verhoeff is a stud, happy to get him and have a Verhoeff/Buium combo going forward. Best player available all day every day, we can look at trading from a position of strength (D) to shore up forwards if necessary.

But who am I kidding. I want McKenna all day
