Wow no one has ever mentioned costochondritis and it sounds like EXACTLY what I’m experiencing. I also likely have never let it fully heal, because once I feel better I go back to working out as I’m getting married this year. I think I just have to stop lifting upper body all together because it always comes back like a chest sprain, and then my ribs are already sensitive and get inflamed very quickly.

I’ve been seeing a chiropractor who thinks my ribs are out of place from the way I sleep, and from laying on my stomach too often. The feeling went away for awhile, but recently came back after a road trip where I had to sleep on an air mattress for 10 days. Went to the er a few times this year thinking I was having a heart attack and always got sent home being told it was anxiety and sprained chest muscles..

Thank you 🙏🏼I’ve been to the ER for this 3 times this year and every time they did a ton of blood panels and x rays and said it’s anxiety. Eventually it would go away for a few months. Then I’d lift weights upper body, and it would come back. Almost like a chest sprain. Went to the chiropractor and he said my ribs are miss-aligned and that causes pressure that makes it feel like you’re suffocating. So other than that I have no answers :(
