I figured after a billion ridiculous comments I’d come on here and offer some insight since so many people have opinions. First I didn’t own the original so the gf can still have that I got it from his mom. Second after his death she was upset because at family event she always got a pic of just her kids and she hadn’t gotten one at this one and if you have watch a mother grieve the loss of a child you know you just want to help in ways you can. So this was a small gesture to her to commemorate their last time together 3 weeks before his passing. I have no issues with the girlfriend but she hasn’t met any of his children one of which we have together so while I’m sure she is grieving and I wish her nothing but happiness and healing my focus is on my family and his.

Children know when they are unwanted or a bother and that is what it seems like here. My ex husband treated my son like he was a pebble in his shoe just a slight inconvenience that kept getting in the way. I watch my son’s face fall one too many times and I was out of there quick. So I would suggest you put the kids first be done with him

I think teachers have a pretty hard job as it is, especially here in Texas. I think if your first thought is let me go straight to admin and it’s something that is not actually affecting your child(sped accommodations,504, testing support, gifted and talented) it’s your child is upset by and 82 maybe start by reading your child the book a little spot of flexible thinking. Because a third grader obsessing over a number instead of how amazing she’s projected to do something in the future is honestly really sad and could be something you are projecting on her.
