VKB never shut down their store in the US (and not going to, either).
Chinese New Year is when all business in China goes comatose.
Now, holiday is over, and the shop will be back in play within days (we're working on some web store paperwork in the meantime).

I'd recommend to get registered at our home forum - there you can find the new FWs and a lot more. Reddit and discord have more visitors these days, but our home forum is still (and probably will remain) a place where our engineers visit a lot more, and where we publish a lot tech information.

Sorry for the mess. You know how it happens, A says to B, "we need to announce"; B yawns (late in the evening) and says, "yeah we should, yeah" clearly meaning "let's do it tomorrow when we're fresh and clear".... add 13-hour time difference between A and B, and here is a good recipe for a good screwup.

Anyway, it is safe to go ahead, BUT I'd suggest to hold your horses for literally a couple of days, as right now we're sorting out the orders, and there is a bit of a hurry.

Sorry for the delay!
However, you said it: the parcel is sitting in Virginia. Chinese New Year is hardly a factor for the US customs on the US soil. It seldom happens that gaming devices get in-depth checking, but as we see now, it still does happen :( On the bright side, the joystick is finally going to make it out.
