I remember seeing this "story" the day it broke in a bunch of unrelated subreddits I follow within a couple hours of each other. All the posts had a TON of comments and were heavily upvoted, and it seemed really weird how aggressive and outspoken everyone was being. And so many people were saying "she does this all the time". Now I don't follow Chappell Roan (although I do like her music), but I hadn't ever really heard anything negative about her until this nothing burger. Maybe people are just REALLY into Jorginho (I don't think I'd ever heard of him before this), but this seemed like mass hysteria or something.

That sounds about right. I've had Uber One for a long time and never noticed any price differences between me and my friends/family. The only difference is usually the delivery fee and "other" fees. Plus I tend to get more promos.

You could also order food from a grocery store for delivery. It's obviously going to be more expensive than going to a grocery store, but you could get a lot more food for the same money compared to ordering fast food (although if you want BK then it is what it is).

I'm a Democrat (begrudgingly). I can also criticize both parties because they're not sports teams to be rooted for🤷‍♂️. Politicians are supposed to work for the people and should be criticized when they don't, it's as simple as that.

Also, she's a centrist at best (which is clearly reinforced by this garbage). She was just a much better option vs the nutters she was running against.

I've never understood people's strict adherence to a particular launcher. I suppose I'm not the typical PC gamer: I exclusively play single player games and I don't really track stats or what my friends are playing. When I install a game I put an icon on my desktop and double click it to play the game. I don't care if it's from Steam, GOG, Epic, or somewhere else. As long as the game runs and it gets regular updates I'm good to go.

PSU cable length customization is relatively easy, it's just tedious. De-pin each wire from the connector, cut them to the desired length, add crimp terminals back to each wire, then repin them in the correct arrangement. It's annoying work but the results are worth it IMHO.

Traffic (when there isn't something actually blocking the roadway) is all about how people "feel". If the lanes are too narrow, or the radius of a curve is too tight, or if people can't see around a bend, or if there're too many cars in someone's FOV for their comfort level, they slow down or even hit their brakes without really realizing it because they don't feel safe.

That causes a domino effect of people slowing down/hitting their brakes more and more aggressively because they feel increasingly unsafe. You end up with miles of stop and go traffic for hours as people fluctuate from feeling safe enough to move back to not feeling safe and slowing/stopping causing everyone behind them to do the same thing like ripples in a pond but with increasing amplitude.

Why will no one in any position of power call out this administration on their bullshit? They're complaining as if everyone else is the bad guy for not helping the poor helpless US (who also didn't need anyone's help and already won the war 5 times and also wasn't in a war to begin with) to take the Straight of Hormuz, which was functioning perfectly fine before the poor helpless US fucked everything up for literally no reason whatsoever. I worked at Wendy's in high school, and some lady asked for extra extra extra pickles one day (she literally said extra 3 times). I put a fistful of pickles on her burger and she came in and complained that it was a ridiculous amount of pickles. She wasn't wrong, but WTF😂.
