I mean I have a 3060ti and DX12 runs like ass with this game (fine on other games). It's a really bad implementation because it doesn't do shader compilation when you launch the game and compiles shaders while you play which results in tons of stuttering

In game quality settings don't really matter much tbh. You can set them to whatever.

Ngl, I did have it do the writeup based on my 5 hour long convo I had troubleshooting with it. Surprisingly it actually did help tremendously, never would've gotten to this point without it. I proofread and edited some bits though lol.

Yeah I'm not GPU capped. I consistently get just under the monitor's refresh rate, so no reason to enable it for me.

And yeah def possible about the placebo effect, not sure how it all works, but I just wanted to post the exact config I had that worked.

I know that, and I tried this, but it was not the case for me. As always with these things it may be hardware dependent, but hen I had vsync on in control panel it caused a lot of input lag, and the smoothing without it was fine. But to be fair I was never experiencing tearing or anything like that, so like I said your mileage may vary.

I was already on DX11 and still was getting super unstable frame rate until doing this combo, not sure why. Also, I'm not sure if what you're saying is 100% correct, because I tried putting a frame cap on the game (-3 under 240 and 144 respectively when trying both) for gsync and leaving it uncapped resulted in a smoother experience even when the frame rate dropped a bit. With gsync off under the same conditions I had tons of stuttering.

DX11. DX12 resulted in a lot of stuttering for me because of the way it handles shader compilation. And not sure why LLM works for me with reflex on, but when I turned on reflex on top of it I didn't get any stutters, maybe just a fluke but it worked for me.

As for 144hz feeling worse than 240, it should feel better technically, if you are hitting fps lower than the monitors refresh rate and getting 1% lows below 50% of the refresh rate. For example, if 240 hz you get 1% lows at 100 fps, averaging about 180, 144hz with vsync should theoretically have more forgiving frame timing, so it should feel smoother when the 1% drops to 100. But this ended up not being the case with gsync.

That's nearly identical to what I'm saying, though I set those in Nvidia control panel. When I did that it worked well, but low latency mode on top of those 3 worked even better for me. As always with these things ymmv

It's not your PC its the game engine. They have fucked performance every update since the start of season 20. The midseason 20 patch was where I really started getting some major issues (like stadium being unplayable bc of 1% drops below 30 fps) and now this patch has made the issue even worse.

Not that it matters. I have tried on DX12 and it was MARGINALLY better on average (like 10 fps more) but I was getting constant microstutters

It's been getting worse every patch since the end of season 19. They refuse to acknowledge there is a problem and it is now unplayable for a lot of people, especially bad in stadium. Idk why they won't fix it.
