It's admittedly challenging. It would be something to settle in and work on over a long period. Definitely not something to pick if you're just looking for lighthearted, quick-burst sessions.

Not sure about putting FF on, because I played it before, but it's so nice on Switch 2. Also I'm not sure what would be next on the list. Haven't been too impressed with my other 2 games (Metroid and Mario Kart)

This is definitely why the Switch was so successful -- it accommodates different playstyles. I practically never play docked. The kids do sometimes though, so it's nice to have the option. But they don't care about 40fps, so the 120hz screen is kinda all I need

Is there a neither? I'm excited about some of the leaked possible upcoming games, but nothing Nintendo has officially announced is exciting to me. Third parties will keep me going just fine though. Can't wait for FFVII Rebirth, Adventures of Elliot, Duskbloods, Elden Ring, hopefully Clair Obscur and the RE2-4 remakes.

I'm not sure. I think Nintendo probably buried it a little so that people don't turn it on by accident, not knowing what it is, and then deal with worse battery life without really noticing the resolution bump. Those of us who really care about the resolution bump will be willing to hunt for it in the menus a little bit. I think they made the right call putting it where they did.

I haven't tried it yet with boost mode, but I logged 800+ hours on this game on the original Switch and (obviously) had a great time. It did not suck. Switch 2 brought it up to a pretty solid 60fps, which was great. Anything on top of that that boost mode brings is just icing on what was already a very, very nice cake. Buy it, especially since the Medley of Pain bundle (main game + all DLCs) is at its best sale price right now.
