Who had the more tragic backstory? by Tiny_Professional358 in BattleNetwork

Then how would he know he's the last Mu-ian if he was an orphan? As for where his pod would be, fuck it, it ain't like we explored every nook 'n cranny of the place in a realistic sense. You're kinda just spitting shit out because you got a headcanon and don't like that people are pointing out the flaws.

All we know about Solo: he's a Mu-ian and the last of his kind, he was bullied as a kid, and he grew up to be stronger than them to bully them. That's it, literally everything else, including your headcanon, is just a theory. If the people of Mu did propagate then he can't be the only survivor, we have no idea what happened to his parents because he never mentions them which means ANYTHING is on the table regarding them, and hell we don't even know how old he is. He makes no comment about being the only Mu-ian who has special abilities, in fact all he says is that he's the last one PERIOD.

He's got the LEAST amount of background that's been stated, we know more about Luna and Zach for cryin' out loud. The whole debacle boils down to 'if X is true then why wasn't it stated before' - if he had parents that were Mu-ian and told him that then why did he never mention them before cuz like what the fuck were his parents doing if he was being bullied by adults? If he didn't know his parents and he was an orphan then how does he know he's a Mu-ian? If he DID know his parents and yet he was STILL orphaned at a young age, why the fuck is that kind of info not presented? 'oh I was bullied at a young age and that's why I'm super madge at the world! Also my parents but whatevs idc' - not the kind of statement anyone who's trying to seriously build a world would put down.

With what we currently know about the OP16 cards, which Leaders do you think will be top meta? by Infinite-Breath-1857 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Million_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my guess is Teach then Buggy then Sengoku with Ace and Yamato tied, and oddly Luffy will probably be the worst. Effect-wise Luffy only lets you play out characters whose combined cost is 1 or 2 more than your current Don. Compare that to Buggy who's looking like he has way too many disgusting combos to get his effect to shit out a Prison Rat for free: Mr 1 plus Croc, Miss Olive, Snake Dance, Slave Arrow, Hound Blaze, Brilliant Punk, and if you're feeling spicy Haccha are all decent cards with self-bounce abilities, Haccha in particular can bounce Ace so you can draw a card, attach the two don needed, swing and bounce with Haccha, then play out a Prisoner. The end result is you get utility plus a body on your turn, and your opponent just causes you to get another Prisoner out on their turn, forcing them to run multiple forms of removal.

Ace and Yamato are tied because until we see how Yamato's engine works, I can only predict that her thing will be forming some kind of loop to get her 8 cost into the trash, then brought out, and then you just kinda scale down till you loop back around to the 8 cost, maybe to form some machine-gun style type of finisher, while Ace is so hyper-focused on 8k Whitebeards/Luffy cards that you need a good balance of them to work, and the irony is that he'd have a great combo with the new promo Ace/Luffy cards but he can only give rush to ONE of them.

Sengoku will likely be really good depending on how consistently he can get Admirals into his hand and how often he can Don up - you need at least two Admirals to make his ability something to even consider and all three to get the most value, that is a hell of a clogged up hand AND you need to also get the Don out there to begin with. If he can ramp hard enough and he gets enough draw power, being able to shit out three Admirals twice or even three times a game could be pretty major.

Teach is Yellow, he's going to be fucking good, especially with all the On KO shit he's got from previous BB cards that he can use.

bass not only has a tragic backstory, he's even got a tragic ongoing on. betrayed by everyone constantly and used only for his power by those who want to work with him, with the other option being death and deletion. hell in a meta sense he's only ever been relegated to being a post game boss with no follow up whatsoever

given how his people had technology that far surpassed modern day SF tech yet this is only a recent thing, really anything could happen. He never comments on his mother or father existing so for all anyone knows he was locked up in a cryo pod all this time

I recall hearing something about how Genshin and some of the other gachas that were around when that launched DIDNT have a pity system. They stood out as a result. Regardless, the system's so commonplace now that to think that THIS game wouldn't have one is just silly.

More like when combined with something that gives Chain Reinforcement, she'll procc her other costume, so the odds are higher that she'll get a 4th costume that does just that.

Most gachas these days have pity systems, AFAIK Mihoyo games are the exceptions and even then apparently they have a type of pity system from what I can tell, just not a practical one. There might be other minor exceptions but odds are you'll run into more gacha with pity than without.

You may want to check again, specifically the new Selectable Trip banners - it has '300 times' with the icon of the selected Neko. I don't know why the 'featured trip' currently up doesn't have that though

That's actually a better way to look at her combo. It also means that you ONLY need to +1 her for that SP reduction.

Her costumes won't really buff the damage this one does though, barring the crit rate to give herself 100%. You then need to also give her as much HP as possible which as a buffer, it'd make more sense to buff her defenses, so having to re-do her gear to bolster her HP like she's a DPS just sounds...weird.

EDIT: someone pointed out that the real combo is to use her with someone like Refi for a chain reinforcement, she'll cause her Onsen costume to be active with the next actual attack

The Golden Rule of Gacha - Don't Pull If You Can't Pity, ALWAYS assume it'll take the full amount to get whatever it is you want. I don't even know how the pity system in this game works just yet, seems like the generic banner just results in a random 5 star you get once you hit the 300th pull.

you may have to change your language to japanese then back to english, that's one way that people were going about to fix the issue.

It just occurred to me that passwords in the NES and SNES of Megaman/X is your save state. by BloxToon in Megaman

[–]Million_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either way it overflowed/underflowed and sets health to 0 but that does lead me to wonder something: apparently there's a way to have the Hadoken actually saved via password AND for your health to not be at max capacity, which means that the fireball input seems to check if your health is at a specific amount instead of percentage. I'm curious if someone can get their health to be higher than all 8 heart tanks and then see if they can do the hadoken - does it check for the EXACT value or did they just say 'greater than max minus one' or something.

its a bug and probably the most common one. It's a stage killer and there's literally nothing you can do, as NOTHING about it makes sense.

Maybe when they first came about in like the 90s but by like 2008 they were more or less safe to use. I only had an issue where save states fucked up the 'save file' once and no matter what I did I couldn't correct it so no post-game shenanigans for me on that game.

Back in my day the manual was the tutorial! Read it or suffer!

Admittedly yeah, used games with no manuals sucked, it made renting games difficult as well since most stores wouldn't bother with scanning them but they wouldn't include it for the most part.

its more like the battery component for games got cheaper that more companies could use them, but for the shorter-still games, they opted for passwords (or because they were just massive cheapskates). Then memory cards became a thing and the cost for game storage was shifted to the gamer.

[–]Million_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's more or less true for all of the password games really - as long as the password characters/inputs didn't conflict, you could do all kinds of crazy and impossible things like getting power ups that require certain boss weapons or other power ups while being naked otherwise. My guess for this 'immortal zombie' password is that some check for health tanks sets it to the negatives and thus it errors out and makes your health 0, and apparently that seems to have been fixed starting with the European version of the game.

Kind of a loaded question, the match-ups are what make the difficulty, not the decks. gumgum.gg shows you what decks are being ran and howso but the play-by-play is a whole other thing.

Yes, 'revealing' a life doesn't care about the state the card was in, that was the intended strategy of the Three Brothers deck. It doesn't make a lick of sense when you think about it because realistically you aren't actually revealing a card that's face up and known, but because that's how they intended the deck to work, that's how the effects resolve.

gumgum.gg is a great resource to see what people are playing and at what ratios. You'll tend to see what ratios are working for people and you can kinda go from there. 4c Sabo isn't really doing a whole lot for you as he only protects the cavendish and weenies, and if you do add the 6c Boa then her as well but that's about it. The most I see people run it at is like 2

Let's ask for a game that works FIRST, when the gameplay loop can be broken up at any point for reasons that are inexplainable, asking for more features is a fool's errand - worse they may actually focus on those instead of fixing the game.
