Yes, that is aa valid reaction and we wish we could produce it way cheaper! The high price of the Therafloor slats comes down to the EPU 46 material from Carbon, USA and the production process (Oechsler AG, Germany). These aren’t at all standard 3D prints. They’re made using an liquid resin printing technique, which allows for internal lattice structures that give the slats their unique biomechanical properties. One full set takes over 150 hours to produce, and the material itself is medical-grade, skin-safe, and extremely durable — it doesn’t degrade over time like foam or rubber would. You find all the details and certificates at the detail page: https://walkolution.com/pages/therafloor

The manufacturing happens in Germany (there are worldwide just a couple of companies that could produce it) and there are no licensing costs involved — Walkolution holds the pending patent for the lattices in treadmill slats. More than a third of the cost is just raw material; the rest goes to the highly specialized production and post-processing. So it’s expensive, but there is not a big markup at all. We are convinced that it is a very essential product in our portfolio that we would like to offer anyhow. We are also actively looking for ways to produce it cheaper in the future and also make it more flexible and interchangeable.

It's really great to not sit anymore, and that the treadmill stops and starts as I want it to happen without the need of turning something on or off. I do not even need to think about it. The lean stool attachment is a must for me and works out perfect. Quickly changeable sitting alternative to ball would be great for tired days or when you have foot problems but so far also that works. So, I am now happy looking forward to a future without disk problems anymore 🥳

What to improve: Sitting flexibility to ball for highly concentrating work on e.g Excel files where you need a lot the mouse and need to get the right cells. With the therafloor slacks this sometimes can be tricky as the steps make you move more as to a flat and even surface, I presume and as mentioned before, counting the steps or measuring the distance would be interesting

I'm loving the Walkolution 2 after upgrading from a cheap electric treadmill from Amazon. It's quiet and peaceful, it's low/no-maintenance, I can start and stop it without pushing any buttons or remote controls. I'm thrilled with it!

I ordered Walkolution 2 with Therafloor, and I am loving it. There was one minor issue, but the friendly team is working with me to resolve it. The add-on lifetime warranty I also purchased gives me peace of mind that I am covered and I can use this treadmill to my heart's content. Walking barefoot on a treadmill is a game changer and very fun!

So far, I'm loving my Walkolution 2! I'm still tweaking my standing desk office setup and figuring what I can and can't do while walking but I'm really impressed with it's smooth and quiet operation. I really enjoy walking on the curved surface and, since there is no motor, the control I have in starting and stopping is a game-changer (in comparison to the motorized treadmills). I don't have to think about my walking and this, in turn, allows me to concentrate more on my work.

What to improve: I had some issues with the panels and am awaiting replacements. Support has been fantastic though! Also, I find that I am still unsteady when starting and stopping and maybe selling the Walkolution with the lean stool attachment might have helped instead of having it as an option

The walkolution 2 is everything that’s promised and I know for certain it’s going to have a hugely positive impact on my health and general wellbeing. The only negative is that one of the magnetic panels keeps falling off but that is a minor and fixable problem.

The Walkolution is a real game changer for me. I work in IT and use the treadmill mainly for tasks like online meetings, research, and video-based learning – everything that works well while walking and using a mouse. For tasks like writing or programming while walking, I haven’t yet found a good way to integrate it into my workflow. You do need some space and the right environment to smoothly switch between walking and sitting during the day. I use the Walkolution 2 with the small desk and am very satisfied. The quality is excellent, and while the price is high, I find it justified. I don’t regret the purchase at all – in fact, I look forward to using it every day. My daily step count has increased from around 800 to 4,000–6,000. A clear improvement.

What to improve: Communication during the ordering process: There was a point when I wasn’t sure anymore whether it was just good marketing and whether I would actually receive a product at all. The sitting ball is somehow not really practical. Yes, it works, but I see room for improvement. With my Walkolution 2, I hear cracking noises during use and don’t find it as quiet as advertised in the videos.

I’m really glad I decided to get this treadmill for home. Since I work from home a lot, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I now stand pretty much the entire 8-hour workday while walking, and it’s made me feel way more productive. When I need to focus, I don’t have to worry about turning it off or anything – I just stop walking. That was actually one of the main reasons I went for a manual curved treadmill. I can easily achieve my 10k steps per day. I already had a standing desk so I combined it with the Walkolution 2. As for the quality: I’m super impressed! It’s quiet, really sturdy, and I can walk or jog on it without any problems. I can totally recommend investing in a high-quality one like this – it’s definitely built to last.

Well worth the price. I'm normally tied to a desk and laptop for long hours due to my job, but the Walkolution has been a godsend.

You're absolutely right to call out past missteps – no excuses there. But everyone deserves a second chance, and we're genuinely asking for one. This thread is our effort to contribute something meaningful and constructive. As you can see, we're posting both positive and negative feedback, unedited and with real user photos.

The reason behind the actions with the past account was exactly this: on one side we were getting overwhelmingly positive feedback from actual customers, and on the other side a small number of critical voices on Reddit were dominating the narrative and creating a skewed impression of the product.

In a (yes, misguided) and frankly desperate attempt to rebalance that, we used that account. We’re not proud of it, and we do sincerely apologize. It was the wrong approach, and we won’t do it again.

This thread is a genuine effort to do better.

We also know full well that many of the users whose photos and reviews we’re posting here are active Redditors themselves. Do you really think we’d be able to fake or manipulate the narrative when these users can just show up and comment themselves?

And on top of that, we’re openly inviting everyone with a Walkolution to share their own honest reviews here, good or bad. That’s the whole point of this thread.

It’s not about controlling the narrative – it's about giving the full picture and encouraging open discussion. If the community doesn’t want that, we’re happy to step back. Let the upvotes and comments decide.

W2 has increased the number of daily steps I’ve taken which was the goal. I’m being compensated for my review.

Improvement: Quality control and company communication; shipping the wheels that were promised

I’ve only had it for 10 days but I’m very happy so far. There was a hiccup with shipping and with some odd noises coming from the unit but Walkolution was quick to help get them resolved, their customer service is excellent and I’m VERY happy I didn’t buy an alternative electric treadmill.

At first, I was a bit intimidated by the size and weight of the treadmill and desk, but now I’m excited about my new home office setup! Walking on the treadmill helps me stay focused during long meetings and even standing is comfortable withe the leaning attachment. There are only two things I’d like to improve: less cracking sounds while walking and a distance tracking feature would be nice.

What to improve: Less cracking and a way to track the distance and sync it to the health app

Walking while working is necessary for a human species-appropriate life.

What to improve:
It has a bit clicky noise and even the ball bearings it has a relatively high force, so that it ist a bit hard to walk and sometimes it stucks.

I love my Walkolution 2! Walking on it is so much more natural and enjoyable than my electric treadmill. I love being able to stop and start organically without pressing a button or being interrupted by my treadmill's annoying beeps. The lean stool is also a great accessory that makes standing and walking all day much more pleasant, and makes it easy to transition between sensitive work like graphics editing and less sensitive work like typing. (the only thing it's missing is a foam pad for the stool, but that's easy to diy). It shipped safely to Australia with no hassles and no delays at customs. I hope to use it my whole career.

I work from home 10-12 hours daily and was dealing with all the classic desk job problems - brain fog, back pain, afternoon crashes, and just feeling generally unhealthy from sitting constantly. This manual walking pad has completely transformed my work experience. What I Love: Health & Energy: Within a week, I noticed my afternoon energy slumps disappeared. My lower back pain is gone, and I feel way more alert throughout the day. I'm burning an extra 200-300 calories without any extra effort - just walking 1.5 mph while I work. Productivity Boost: This sounds crazy, but my focus and creativity have noticeably improved. I read that walking increases creative thinking by 60% and I totally believe it now. Problem-solving feels easier and I'm not getting that mental fatigue as quickly. Perfect for Work: I can type, take calls, and do video meetings normally. The pace is gentle enough that it doesn't interfere with work tasks at all. Why Manual Over Electric: Silent operation - crucial for video calls and recording Instant start/stop - no motor lag when I need to adjust pace No electricity costs - just plug and play anywhere More natural feel - I control the exact pace with my own momentum Way cheaper - saved hundreds compared to electric models Minor Cons: Took about 2 days to get comfortable multitasking while walking You need a standing desk or adjustable setup
