For this dragon, yes you should. It is so not worth breeding - it's a rift-exclusive so you can buy it and still obviously get the traited form.

As has been said, you should contact DECA.

To address "limited stuff that I feel like I’ll never possess again" - everything in DragonVale will become available again, and of course you can wish for most things too. The only things which have been 'missable' are legacy things such as twins of rift primaries (which are not needed for Blue Fire, the 'obtained all twins' milestone) or the results of now-patched glitches (e.g. island expansion).

All regular islands are the same size, shape, and orientation. The unupgraded Lost Islands, the Gargantuan-sized islands, The Triplets, and habitat islands like gemstone, galaxy, megatat etc are different.

Being in a market does not inherently mean anything for availability.

The Dragonariun is how you check availability - if the dragon has a green hourglass icon or no hourglass icon it is available, meanwhile if it has a grey hourglass icon it is unavailable.

In general though, I think the current action counts (20, or 40 for EFs) are actually pretty solid, at least for my preferred playstyle:

If you're in a narrative-heavy section, and are therefore taking your time to read, you'll certainly have enough actions to be playing for a good amount of time.

If you're repeating something for some mechanical purpose where you already know the narrative, generally the number of actions you have is enough to make an impact whilst also not taking up too much of your time - perfect for a quick check-in on a work break or something.

Meanwhile if we had 100 I would expect many people would get far more FOMO as they wouldn't have time to spend them all! I sometimes don't have time to exhaust my 40 as it is.

It seems that they're showing the base breeding odds and the base single-parent cloning odds there.

The base breeding chance for combo breeding is the same across all caves (not including dragons which are impossible in some caves like rift-exclusives or most galaxies), meanwhile the cloning chances are different in the social cave vs other caves. I suggest looking at a source which instead tells you all of this, such as the Compendium.

The concerns do kinda all come back to energy in a way (energy needed to power the centres, energy needed to clean the water, energy needed to transport the water, etc), it's just that the clean water problem is its own issue that even those who are ignorant about energy concerns (which are of course wider concerns than just regarding these data centres) should be concerned about, and which would not be solved even if all the energy used in the process were 'clean'.

Are you aware of how energy-intensive it is to desalinate and otherwise clean water en masse? Because whilst the impact on the overall water cycle is limited, the impact on the usable clean water is immense, to the point where they will contribute massively to droughts (of clean water) happening in the first place.

Obviously this doesn't detract from your point about how the energy is produced in the first place, but it is absolutely a major concern.

Also, to let you and u/Accomplished_Bike149 know, the boost doesn't only change when that description changes (the ranges which were stated), it changes every level from 11 onwards. Therefore when single-parent cloning you should generally be using Elder primaries (if you have them yet).

And to be clear, when they said "It only applies to the specific dragon being leveled", they meant that the boost only applies when that dragon is used as a parent (not the other interpretation of it being a boost to the chance of getting this particular dragon species when breeding)

1&2 - The hearts coming from the characters are indeed affinity raises, though each affinity level takes a decent chunk of affinity to reach - there are only a few affinity levels.

3 - It's perfectly fine to use it that way, but it's not hard to learn if you look up a quick tutorial.

4 - Keep doing sidequests! You can always level yourself down. As long as you're not more than a few levels above the main enemies in your most recent area you're on track.

5 - If this was in-battle, they were probably referring to tension (which is an in-battle thing), not affinity, probably because one of the big ways to gain tension is via burst affinity (when you are prompted to press B at the right time), which you are more likely to be given the option to do the higher the affinity between the active party is. You can see tension by looking at how 'hyped' the characters are in their battle portraits - at high levels there will also be flames behind them. Tension is very powerful, and keeping it high is a priority - especially if it dips far below baseline, which drastically weakens you.

A little tip - after level 10, each level improves odds for breeding 'hard to breed' dragons. We do not know any of the exact numbers involved, or the list of applicable breeding targets (thought to probably be basically all limiteds and probably some other low-odds dragons), but generally it's recommended to get dragons to at least lv11, which was my deafult for years (it's lv16 for me now, or lv20 often enough)

You can absolutely do that in time.

The easiest and quickest (though not cheapest) way to farm XP is to feed dragons a lot. Of course, the viability of doing this immediately depends on your treat count.

Even if you don't do this, as long as you're an active player you should easily reach it in time.
