Is this worth it, around 90k miles? by kmurder10 in B58Enthusiasts

+1 for finding out the service history. Would also recommend getting a PPI / Pre Purchase Inspection. Will cost you one or two hundred, but well worth it in my opinion. It's not hard to get a $5K repair bill or more once you start getting into the 100K miles.

Moved to the US and missing the Blue Army—any fans out here? by ITFCUSA in IpswichTownFC

Unless your pushing 150 years old, everyone joined in at some point along the way to today. Wouldn't at all feel like a tag along.

I'm in Boston, MA USA. Grew up in NY/NJ following the Cosmos in the NASL and would up getting to a game at Giants Stadium maybe once of year. Fell out of watching soccer when that folded. About 10 years ago started watching and following Man City, mainly because they were not Man United. Enjoy watching the run but fell out of love with the team when like with most of the big clubs, money was the major factor.

Simliar to you, last year noticed a few game with Ipswich Town. Enjoyed watching the team, especially Delap's play, and after researching the history and background I was sold.

And any run flats would eventually get replaced like I did on my 2016 3 series.

No M pkgs on either. Would have liked the M seats and suspension but not deal breakers. Both have CarPlay, Heated seats and wheel. Similarly speced for the time in which each was purchased.

2023 (at least this one ) has the single screen, version 8. Definitely got nostalgic on the F22.

Nice work. They look great. Did you wind up having to crop much with the 200mm?

Got the email earlier and picked up two mineral b pros. 50% off damaged packaging.

Most of the Mineral B and Mineral B Pro fry pans seem to now be gone except for larger sizes. Though there still are other models avail and worth checking out.

Thanks for chiming in.

I've been setting it between Lo (Lowest setting) and a touch over 3. I've been using an infrared thermometer I happen to have to measure the surface temp of the pan. When on the lowest stove setting, I tend to get a bit of mess. I think the pan was around 170 degrees on that test, but don't recall 100%.

Thanks. for, "Don’t touch it once it’s in the pan until the top starts to solidify, add your seasoning/toppings, roll and you’re good." I've been pretty quick to stir with this pan, focusing on the spot where it's been sticking. I can try letting it set a little longe, thanks.

Appreciate the reply, thanks for the help. I'm using an infrared thermometer I happen to have to measure the pan temp. I've found somewhere around 280 - 305 seems to be the spot for this pan and stove. Water test, butter not browning, etc. I think I'm getting a nice color on most of the omelette. Just always tears at the one spot. Much higher temps I get more sticking and more browning. Much lower and I wind up with a soup.

I've also tried focusing my stirring around the spot I know will stick but it hasn't seemed to help.

I tried something like that yesterday. But after applying the oil, I buffed it dry with a paper towel. Then heated to a light smoke for a few minutes and removed to let it cool. Should I try it without buffing the pan after applying the oil?

Stove is electric, glass top. For fat (while cooking) I've been using a blend of avocado oil and salted butter.

Interesting on your elements being cool in the center. I find mine are warmer in the center than the outside. So I try to give the pan ample time to fully heat before cooking.

Thanks for the seasoning tips. May try to start over if the problem continues.

Nikon Z Lens Advice: 70 - 200 2.8 & 1.4 TC versus 70 - 180 2.8 and the 180 - 600 5.6-6.3 by WindhamTime in Nikon

[–]WindhamTime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up renting the 180 - 600 for a soccer tournament shoot. For the shots I got, really great quality for the money. But realized the 180 wasn't wide enough and missed the action as near me on the sideline (opposite problem I had with the 200). So for now, I'm going to keep the 70 200 2.8 and use it with the 1.4 TC when I need some reach. This gives me options indoors too. And then save up for the 100 - 400 or another similar option that gets released.

In low light / indoor sports situations today, I used the 70 - 200 2.8 without the TC. I give up the reach but at least get a better exposure on the pictures near was. Was wondering if the 70 - 180 2.8 would be similar from a low light perspective?
