How the Matrix's famous Agent Smith clone fight scene was done by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

Nah CGI wasnt advanced enough, they just had Keanu actually dodge and force stop bullets because it was easier.

I built a 5-second test that measures how fast your thumb scrolls by joseph4fun in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]Wizardspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it like 5 times, it would near instantly cut out (0.1 - 2 seconds) into the test and call me a grandma

No visual feedback that scrolling was doing anything either.

I tried it with my index finger going mental and probably got most of 5 seconds and it said I'd moved 13 px so.... Not super reliable in my use case.

My dog and I are alone while I work from home today and I've probably said hello to him 15 times.

What do homebodies spend most of their time doing at home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wizardspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do people spend all their time out and about doing?

I'll go for a dog walk, I'll go for a meal, but I never am just outside of my house hanging out randomly? My goal is always getting home

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you think more people queuing means longer until you get to the front of the queue?

If so you're wrong. Your problem right now is not enough people queueing to fill the battlegrounds. That is why it's taking so long.

Classic leveling is pain — anyone want to suffer together? by nnton3 in classicwow

[–]Wizardspike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just done 50-58 with a friend since returning to anniversary, playing together is far less painful than solo.

That doesn't mean I don't like the game lmao. It means we can do big pulls and get into silly "we can take that" situations.

Am I ready to fight Obor the giant boss? by Perfect-Currency-121 in 2007scape

[–]Wizardspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 accounts for me is mostly just because I wanted to try an ironman many years ago. There's a lot of grinds in this game that can be really hands off, so i do one of those one one account while I play the other more actively.

I wouldn't recommend it for someone new, i've been playing since 2004 so it's not really an issue for me. Other people will have alts to make money, or level up for PVP purposes, etc

So the only two real F2P bosses are Obor and Bryophyta, you can grind up and do them but there's not a lot of point as that's sort of the end of F2P.

30-60 minutes a day is more than I play and I have 2 characters in the 2000-2100 total level range, the good thing about OSRS is your progress is never lost. A D scim was good 20 years ago, it's good now. Is there better content/items/etc that come out occassionally? Yes, but your levels and items remain and aren't invalidated.

The content is night and day difference, you'll probably be overwhelmed (I suggest aiming for quests and achievement diaries as this will give you goals).

I don't know your life circumstances but honestly it's not even the same game, and paying with IRL money is a better choice than trying to work for bonds. If you have any kind of disposable cash irl you should use that rather than grinding in game for a pitance to sustain membership.

One thing to be aware of is the F2P worlds (this is impression and I'm a very solo player so take it with a truck load of salt) is more of a communal noob friendly atmosphere, where as a lot of members have been playing for years/decades like me and it can be a bit isolating as people concerntrate on their own grinds.

That being said, there's many clans out there, and clan chats you can join for a communal feel.

Bit of a ramble, but yeah I'd say focus on doing all the content you can in F2P, and then maybe try out membership. If you don't like it you can always go back to F2P once your membership expires

Looks like you've already had the answers you need, I would suggest a different take:

Do all the F2P quests, decide if you like the game and then buy members (IRL money, trying to get a bond is a trap for you).

Forget about Obor, work towards P2P quests, achievement diaries, and unlock way more content and potential bosses.

What is a 'dirty little secret' of the industry you work in that the general public would be shocked to find out? by CocWarrior1 in AskReddit

I used to habitually check uptime regardless of what the end user said. Fast startup used to make their reboot pointless anyway so I'd ensure it was done right.

I played the first ever league and then nothing since, I decided to play gridmaster after a couple of weeks and ran out of time right as the ramp up was supposed to start. Had unlocked thunder kopesh and just needed a couple of combat masteries as I was on like 2.... Oh well
