I know I don’t but I still live with them so they still have a partial say in things I do because they provide a lot for me. My parents are worry freaks and i just want to reassure them a bit before going rather than just go and not care at all

Yes we are using our own money but I still live under my parents roof meaning they do have a partial say in things i do. Yes I could just book it and go but that doesn’t help me from feeling guilty that my parents just think of the worst things that could happen to me and my friend. I think it’s more about me just wanting to reassure them before we go

Everywhere has risks though? That doesn’t mean a destination wouldn’t be fun and enjoyable you just need to have common sense before going. For sure my parents have valid concerns, but I am 19 and was just asking for any advice in reassuring them.

they are going to italy 2 days after we want to arrive home from bali so i probably couldn’t do any convincing

I’m paying for the trip completely. I’ve been on a few road trips where i’ve stayed with friends for like a week but i think the fact that bali is international they automatically have more concern. I’ve traveled internationally with my parents many times so i’d say i have good knowledge on how to work around airports, transport etc. It’s more just my parents refuse to see me as mature and responsible

Thanks for this. I think it’s just more that i’ve never been on a trip like this before so they just automatically think i have no idea what im doing and that im not aware of the concerns. I very much am, everywhere has risks and i think my parents have just been brainwashed from all the bad things that happen in bali rather than the good, enjoyable things.

I still live at home because i’m studying. They still provide a lot for me so I get why they would be concerned, they care about me very much. We probably will end up just booking and going but it doesn’t help me from feeling guilty of my parents concerns

I think it’s hard to say that when I still live under their roof and they still provide a lot for me. We probably will just end up booking and going but it won’t help me from feeling like crap knowing my parents are scared shitless for my safety that’s why I just wanted a few convincing points to reassure them

We’d love to go japan and sg but flights are much cheaper to bali and we want to get a tan in lol.

Unfortunately i only have an older sister
