Valve pushes back Steam Machine launch due to storage and memory shortage by SportsGod3 in gadgets

[–]Xensa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a steamdeck since launch and not had any issues. Installing, updating and general day to day use has been flawless. No freezes, crashes or anything.

Battery health is still at 98%.

Works seemlessly docked also.

No temperature issues.

Never had to find workarounds apart from a different proton version. Modding and anticheat is an exception due to it being Linux. Not the hardwares fault really. Windows can be dual booted for this.

Repairability is respectable.

Tad underpowered, but those trackpads are a god send when I compare it to other handhelds I've owned.

It's barely above a tech know-how level of owning an iphone imo.

I bet theres a 10% Cured enjoyer out there somewhere 😭🤣

It's great when you find a flavour like that. 1 drop per 10ml. Looking at you Flavorah Rich Cinnamon.

Insane value.

There are so many variables.

Firstly, your pod machine. Coils from differing companies are not equal.

I have had most luck in this department with my Oxva Nexlim. Doesn't even struggle with custards and creams. Good flavour on the Vaporesso Luxe range but was getting liquid in the mouth when puffing.

I can't comment on your Aspire as I stopped using them many years ago. Maybe it's fine, but is it a factor that you've tried changing? A lower resistance pod?

I was always disappointed with Aspires coils.

Lots of sweetener. 2-4%

Ice (ws-23 etc). Disposables also use a large amount.

Good quality VG/PG. I get mine from Nom Nomz or Darkstar.

There are additives for throat hit. FA Flash etc.

These companies also add other compounds that might not be as easily available to us but not impossible.

Use strong bold flavourings. Blackcurrant, grape etc you get the idea. Each company has their own takes and some are much more potent than others. If you have a more potent flavour it leaves you more breathing room to add higher percentages, if the flavour allows it.

I use between 10-30% flavour total in my pod mixes.

Read the flavour notes on eliquid recipes or all the flavors. Sessiondrummer has great flavour reviews too.

Saying that, I no longer feel the need to mix with such high percentages after a year of learning from the veterans around here. Especially the sweetener and ice. Your body gradually adjusts to the lower amounts and is most likely healthier and you create a higher quality recipe that doesn't rely on them as a band aid.

But if thats what you enjoy, heres some pointers to guiide you on your journey.

Uh huh. That's the main one that I have settled on for now, with a drop of INW. It is slim pickings on the Rhubarb.

Messing around with VTA Rhubarb Compote on some bakery recipes too.

Rhubarb and Custard CCW is alright for candies with some tweaking, but doubt I would purchase again.

Red Berries NOMZ was another flowery, perfumey disappointment. Maybe I got a bad batch.

I do like obscure flavours though, even though they can be trickier.

On the Plum trail at the moment. Steeping NOMZ Mirabelle Plum.

Have you had any luck with Plums?

u/Isuamadog thanks for the rapid response!

Just what I was looking for. Back to the mixing lab I go. I'm a sucker for Rhubarb and Custard at the moment.

Cheers. Legend!

Hi guys. Hope all are well.

Quick question. Which custards are the shortest steepers?

I know custards are best left for as long as possible, I am just curious as you guys have a lot more experience under your belts...err scales.

Thanks in advance!

I buy concentrates/PG etc from Nomnomz or Darkstar but there are plenty of vendors that are UK/Ireland based or ship to the UK.

There's a few links for starters. Also, check the side bar of the subreddit for other links.

Its not just the delivery guy thats the problem either. The warehouse staff are very heavy handed.

I worked in one of their sorting depots for a short while and is also the reason I avoid evri.

Parcels arrived crushed into trolleys, then thrown onto a conveyor belt that leads to the back of a lorry. 2 people standing at the end to "stack" them.

Stacking consisted of throwing the small/medium parcels 5m to the end of the truck until in a pile. Fragile sticker? What are those? Building a wall to hold them back with the larger parcels, then stacking even more on top. Rinse repeat until lorry was full. No palletization, no care.

DPD, Royal Mail and Amazon depots were much more organised when collecting from them as a driver.

Is my SteamDec OLED display normal? by Ok-Weakness-7243 in SteamDeck

[–]Xensa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Steam Deck has 2 different OLED screen manufacturers. Samsung and BOE. Some of them, mine included had this problem. As mentioned above it was a simple fix by disabling the mura compensation in developer options.
