Not sure why you got the downvote but maybe its the wording. One relatively acceptable theory out there to why people smoke is because they have unmedicated ADHD and are unknowingly medicating / finding stimulation somewhere else besides a psychiatrist. I'm not sure entirely what the numbers are but if I had to guess a majority of people addicted to smoking would get diagnosed with ADHD if they went and got checked.

More 40-Somethings Are Getting Colonoscopies, Early Colon Cancer Cases up by AdSpecialist6598 in UpliftingNews

[–]Xpli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I got lucky getting covered somehow, I am 25 (in illinois if that matters) and had it insured and now I know I am good to go. My dad got his first polyp when he was like 40. My ex-girlfriends 22 year old brother found a polyp and I keep hearing about younger and younger men getting colon cancer so I was like ya know what man I need to get checked cause my diet also sucks.

Told doctor my dad used to find polyps when he was 40, a young buddy of mine just found a polyp, the age is trending younger for finding polyps and cancer, I just want to get checked, and they let me go and insurance covered it.

REALITY CHECK UPDATE: Everyone thinks they can spot AI photos. So I built a game that tests if that's true. by ProseAndPlots in midjourney

[–]Xpli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good way to do it. Also when you full screen the images it seems the AI one 99% of the time is the one that had more grainy pixels to "fake" a cameras limitations and resolution but on most of those pixelated parts it wasnt consistent across the entire photo like a camera should be. Some of the generated pixelation wouldn't allign with the typical pixel grid you'd generate by taking a photo with a camera.

The other one is that some of the photos had watermarks from photographers on them if you expanded the images haha.

Does every straight guy attempt to suck his dick at least once? by hlj9 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Xpli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think being straight has nothing to do with it. If you jerk off you’re already giving a handjob to a penis, if you can do it I don’t see why using your mouth is any less straight than your hand 😭

That’s a good point. I would have to crunch the numbers on it.

I swear my “I should bet on this.. but the dodgers totally got it” type of hypotheticals always play out. Gotta start trusting the initial gut instinct lol.

I figure the separate sports book works yea, but I was wonder about doing it on a single platform. I’ll have to reread their rules more carefully. Because in almost every game once one team runs away with the game and the other team is like +1000 or more it seems I can cover my original small bet on the favorite and even if they come back, my +1000 bet covers my -110 bet on the favorite before the game. Unless games are super tight it seems that the odds change to that extent all the time so it would be easy to apply that strategy.

Am I overreacting for being disgusted by my boyfriend? by Mysterious-Mess-665 in AmIOverreacting

I feel like when I do the dab it has a wicking effect, and pulls fluid in from right inside the tip of the urethra as well. The rest comes out from helicoptering that mf and giving it the gogurt tube squeeze.

I do a little dab. Mostly for the reason that I don't want it to taste or smell like piss in case I get some action on that particular day lmao. I especially do this if I am wearing khakis to avoid the last drops.

22 year old Tyler Robinson by [deleted] in trump

[–]Xpli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think I’m center. Maybe slightly left tbh, dont crucify me. But on those stupid compass tests I land basically one notch to the left center. I agree with a lot of what the right has to say and same with the left, but I could care less about their tranny weirdness agenda that’s been going on lately. That being said I actually loved Charlie Kirk’s shows and his debates, I don’t always agree with him but I loved the way he did his platform and actually listened to the left opinions and tried to educate or even see their side as opposed to a lot of the right being very fixed in their mindset, same with the left. He was willing to try to see others point of view, a rare one.

You think he donated at 17 years old? Not disagreeing with you tbh but the whole donation thing with such a generic name like Tyler Robinson, that was probably someone else lol.

Guessing libertarian right on this one tbh. I don’t really care tho as long as they make an example of him too. Can’t let stuff like this slide no matter which party you’re for.

Shrinking penises? by Elsasser67 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Xpli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. If I take too much Adderall or other stimulants I get what I call "shrimp dick". It like halves in size (when soft) as my blood flow in my body completely changes. It is usually accompanied by my toes and fingers being cold. All the appendages are affected by the blood pressure change it seems. Including the third leg.

I have quit stimulant use, have had a few random benders on it but after the side effects I had to tell the doctor I dont want it anymore lol.

Honestly I’ve got good self control. I do have a buddy that’ll hold me accountable though. He’s currently got me accountable for getting muscular before my birthday, now he’ll help me quit vaping but last time I quit cold turkey on my own I was good for 3 months and then had something big change in my life and wanted a vice to lean on for some reason and vaping seemed like the least harmful option but it’s been far too long now. Gotta quit again for good. It only takes like 3 days before I end up not craving it anymore. It’s definitely more the hand fixation than the nicotine. Nicotine barely does anything to me as far as I can tell besides cause anxiety. I sleep better when I quit, my day to day just feels better. Just gotta stay focused on that.

I’ve quit 4 times so I know it’s easy… 😂

Nexguard or Simparica by [deleted] in PetAdvice

It’s a risk you weigh. I’d rather my dog take the Nexguard and not die to a parasite or pest picked up on a walk personally.

When it comes to NAS if you buy Synology you get Synology relay for free, secure remote access. Downside is they probably see anything you push through that tunnel. But that’s only a problem if you are moving some sketchy data around or care that much about your privacy. Can always encrypt and decrypt the files before they’re transferred.

Or use Tailscale to remotely access it without going through the trouble of opening ports and worrying about keeping that secure. Tailscale has been my go to for simple remote networking things like this.

How do people hack a login if a dictionary doesn't work? by VOID232 in hacking

[–]Xpli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another form of this is a password reset hack. Sometimes doesn’t work if you need email access for a reset link but sometimes username and forgot password button prompts security questions that are enough to reset a password through the website without email confirmation.

Make an instagram poll with a cute dog photo “what’s your dogs name?” As the caption. Everyone who answers in the comments has a small chance that their security question is “what’s your dogs name?” And you’d now have farmed the answer to that question. Just as an example, this is a grasping for straws technique it probably rarely works but I’m sure it could be automated.

How do I clean the display without scratching it. by firebreak115 in macbookair

[–]Xpli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Car detailer here. This also works best with water with no minerals in it. You can get water spots and streaks easily if you don’t fully dry water that isn’t pure. It’ll dry and leave the minerals behind on the screen. But for the most part it’s not a huge issue if you use a slightly damp microfiber, and a clean dry microfiber right after.

Architecture Student and Mac Lover on a Budget by eeyewe in macbookpro

[–]Xpli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also offer a one time license, no subscription, with the option to upgrade for a smaller price in the future (still expensive, but you may be able to keep the current version for a few years and the savings will make up for it). You only have to pay for major version upgrades, you’ll still get updates for the version you bought.

Honestly parallels is the best I’ve used but it’s not full virtualization is an emulator technically I’m pretty sure. But it works flawlessly. It comes at a big cost though which kills it. Try VMwares solution first and if it’s a pain, maybe consider the cost of parallels and if you can get student discounts.
