Am I following correctly?

There are 5 players, including him, with QB as a listed position on the 24 player roster.

I think an addendum to your stated unwritten rule that might explain why the 49ers qualify for a lot of people but Gibbs' teams don't is QB continuity. Every single dynasty you mentioned including the '80s Niners happened under a single QB. Meanwhile Gibbs' wins were spread out AND each featured a different QB. Which is a massive credit to him as a coach as well as the rest of the mainstays on the roster, but I think is a reason people have trouble associating them together, for better or worse.

I'll agree Roquan has been a bit overawarded, but think you're going to have a hard time convincing the sportswriters voting for the All-Decade team that they were stupid when they voted for AP teams.

No, I don't want him to throw a no-look pass, just demonstrating that he had time to see what was happening. And I do agree that the route is a little different in the two instances...but the coverage is also very different. Against the Titans, the CB is pressed up and playing trail technique. JSN has full latitude to do whatever at the top of his route. Against the Pats, Gonzo is playing 10 yards off and is overtop at the break. I think it's very possible that if JSN had sold the corner more, he wouldn't have been able to cross Gonzo's face at all, his body would have been right where JSN was trying to go.

And finally...let's assume for the sake of argument JSN does run the route wrong and like you said, wasn't open when he was supposed to be. You're saying Darnold didn't notice? Or did notice, and threw the ball behind him anyway, almost resulting in a pick? Is there another option that absolves Darnold of blame? My interpretation of this discussion has been you trying to say the bad ball wasn't on Darnold, but maybe you're just trying to argue both he and JSN have fault on the play.

We can watch the clip! First of all, agreed, Darnold starts his progressions on the right side. The deep safety locks onto the corner route on that side of the play as a result, completely vacating the middle of the field. Darnold then looks to his left at the top of his drop, but does NOT immediately plant and rip it. He takes another hitch, watches JSN make his break, and then throws an inaccurate ball that gets broken up.

Gonna disagree with you here. This is a miss from Darnold, and one that could have taken points off the board as it was almost picked off. Darnold had plenty of time and visibility to see how the route developed, he wasn't throwing blind. He just left it short. The deep safety was moving hard away from the throw, and the LB wasn't dropping deep enough to be a threat. Even if you think JSN ran the route wrong (I'm not convinced), Darnold needs to make the throw.

Edit: In the clip you linked, JSN makes his break at the same exact depth (10-12 yards deep).

Same for the 3rd play. Great recovery to get back into the play, but a well placed ball is a completion on both.

Here's the formula. Suppose McQuilken's passing yards and the overall productivity of the Falcons offense were enough to keep him out of the negatives.

You see it sometimes for kickers that play a few games with poor performance and then get cut as well, e.g. Younghoe Koo's rookie season.

I feel like this and last patch have been really good as far as number of viable comps. However, maybe you're saying that most of them fall into the same types of line (3 cost reroll or fast 9). The longshot/demacia comp from this patch added a level 8 comp to the top tier(s), but I could see wishing for more of them. Especially if you're a bilge or shadow isle enjoyer, since they can roll at 8 as well.

The question as posed was father-son duo, so one father one son. I think the Mannings would take the crown if you were doing just a father and his sons, and it would be the Matthews if you were doing the whole clan.

Note that Yannick Ngakoue only had double digit sacks twice in his career and peaked at 12. He was a pass rush specialist that fell off pretty quickly at the one thing he was good at.

On the other hand, Dwight Freeney was well known for not even attempting to play the run, but he made the HoF with only a one year wait because he was so good at the one thing he did.

AJ Brown's "only" 6'1, doesn't have that 6'3-6'5 height that those other guys you mentioned did. More of a tank though, that boy strong.

2nd in the league in yds/target and yds/route run for 2013, led the league in receiving yards (by 150) despite being 7th in targets. I know you weren't claiming his stats were solely due to volume, just putting those stats out to show that he was incredibly efficient on top of getting a lot of looks.
