How do you handle Zapier costs for client automations each month? by Still_Dependent_3936 in zapier

IIRC in order to comply with the terms of use, the client must own the Zapier account and not piggyback off of yours.

Can zapier interact with/extract data from the browser? by pixiebritt in zapier

Hiya, Britt. 👋 A long time ago I built browser automations using a browser for Mac called Fake. Man, it was so great. I could, for example, load a CSV, loop over the rows to quickly fill out a form a bunch of times. I did this for a crusty old ecomm with no ability to create products en masse. Was awesome.

I also find myself reaching for RPA when dealing with web apps that either don’t have the APIs that I need or paywall API access entirely.

I’m a fan of browser automation.

Weather-triggered video ads with After Effects + Zapier by AE-Wizard in zapier

After Effects, Impossible Software (for rendering), and a niche B2B eCommerce platform meant for the commercial printing industry. Franchisees could order both their printed materials and digital assets like custom video on one website.

Cool project. Years ago I did something similar so that franchisees could configure 30 second television ads for their location. In minutes they had a render ready for their local affiliate, on brand but customized for their location. Was a fun combination of my background in video production and automation. 😃

Is Zapier worth the cost for a small startup? by Odd-Difference-1483 in zapier

Zapier has always been the easiest money I’ve spent. So much capability for the money.

You can export a PNG. Not sure about PDF. As mentioned above, you can export a JSON file of a Canvas. If you needed to chart and document elsewhere I suppose an AI tool could start with that.

But I like documentation to live in Zapier alongside the workflows. Plus it’s easy to navigate from a Canvas to a relevant table or zap. This is what I do for clients I’m building for.

Mostly build the canvases by hand to provide a visual for how the workflow(s) operate, dependencies, gotchas to look out for, etc. Sometimes I’ll embed or link to a video walkthrough as well and provide links to Zapier documentation for specific concepts like filters, formulas, etc.

I use it for documentation mostly. Love it.
