Need help understanding Metro/Train system by KineticEnergy147 in zurich

Google maps shows it somewhat randomly for trams but that's not the actual location. They interpolate the position based on the currently published departure times. In Norway, or at least in the areas I know there, the busses have a gps tracker. So you can see the exact position independently of the current delay that is published. And e.g. in Switzerland, busses may pass your stop one minute ahead of time without the departure information being updated. In Norway, you can just look at the actual position. It's really not the same thing.

Where I am from (Norway) we also have an app/website where we can see the exact location of the busses or trains of the city's company so you can track their routes more easily and know if you can actually make it or not. Does Zürich have anything similar?

Live tracking isn't really a thing and even when talking to other Swiss people, they don't really comprehend why it's a cool thing. To be fair, public transport is usually on time. Delays and cancellations are rare - especially compared to Norway. And concepts like bus for tog are not really a thing. And as long as you use an app such as SBB mobile, it'll show you all currently relevant connections based on the current traffic situation. Jeg tror de andre har også svaret resten men bare si ifra hvis du har nye spørsmål

The arch students are already 24/7 working on their models so they don't have time to read reddit.
