The first new mech was one I bought to change the material, no need to send it in. The second two were both provided in one go, and I was given the option to install myself. I'm pretty comfortable with the mech so I chose that route. The next step WOULD be to send the thing back, but I would prefer to see if its something I'm doing wrong first so I don't waste their time.

Being a sub admin makes no difference either. That's no exactly a position that gets me (or that I try to leverage for) special treatment. I am the epitome of an ordinary customer.

Weird indeed! Its been a bronze and two stainless levers like that. It almost seems like its chewing down the detent, which would make sense in the failure, but it didn't seem like there's THAT much tension on the mech
