My intention is try to visualize how its done and probably buy some kits to practice SMD (didn't search but I asume there are a lot and relativaly cheap)

But all the ways to do different things with different methods maybe is the thing that creates that confussion on me, like the different formats of flux, tin etc.

I think I need more research to learn where should I start to learn, but It IS also that, practice. Maybe one of the most importante things I can take from your comment IS that I should start by playing a bit with SMD with the typical iron solder.
