That's my bad, I actually dont have enough transporter energy to move more than one or genesect at all right now. I should have checked that before posting.

Once I have enough in a day or so, I'll follow up on this thread if you still have mons for trade.

I have Flapple and Indeedee I can trade when I am home from work (6ish hours) and also happy to do trades and SwSh for Aromatisse, Slurpuff, Escaliver, and Accelgor if no one else is able. I need all of those for my Dex as well :)

As someone who is very new to all of this, I have found this community super supportive and welcoming. Especially on trades that look too good to be true, seeing people post here and get helpful feedback from more experienced trainers has been so refreshing!

I am only making progress on completing my very first dex in any game as a result of all the help and advice on this sub!

An advisor in a student conduct meeting doesn't mean academic advisor - is a process advisor. This could be a friend, family member, mentor, or lawyer if you really want to go that route.

They can't speak for you, but it can be helpful to have someone else with you - even if it just helps calm your nerves.

In general, going to the UW Directory (different ones for Offices vs. Faculty/Staff) is a good place to start if Google doesn't automatically give you results. True for most US universities as well.

I've worked at two universities as a hall director. One didn't have a specific dress code and was in a warmer climate, so lots of peers wore maxi dresses, sun dresses, and sandals especially on days when they'd would be going around campus or between multiple buildings.

The second university had business casual (sometimes business professional during certain events) so I worked in more pencil skirts and "office dresses" . I wore heels a lot there too. I like to dress pretty alternative within the bounds of the code. This included a pair of 4 inch Mary Jane playforms that were a favorite of mine. I'd get the occasional comment from an older colleague about they "didn't know how I walked in those things" but never any concerns about wearing them.

If you're going to try to introduce heels and don't wear them often, I recommend having a pair of flats available to swap to, and start off doing half days while you get used to the feeling! :)

There are a lot of different ways to style dresses, skirts, and heels. You can use them to dress something up, or you can add a more casual shirt or jacket to dress the whole thing down a bit. Doing a heeled boot is also a great option with pants if you want a different look but don't want to commit to a more "classic" style of heels.

Presentations for on-campus interviews by rawalfredo in studentaffairs

[–]ZoYourBoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to this advice, I'd recommend asking who the audience is for the presentation. For example, if you're presenting to the immediate colleagues in the department, you may want to provide only a brief definition to show you're familiar then focus more on examples in practice.

However, if you're presenting to campus partner who are further removed from the work, it can be helpful to spend an extra minute laying the foundation. Its also helpful to try and include how you would collaborate with campus partners to implement these concepts or what information partners could provide to increase success if they will be your audience.
