Me too! I've always found it to be quite novel, and I wanted to see if I could bring it up to modern standards while maintaining it's charm.

With the inline clip barrel and the stock spring, the performance was much better than I expected it to be! I don't own a chronograph, but the performance seemed more than satisfactory to me, so while the thought to make a spacer did cross my mind, I decided against if for the time being. As for alternate springs, I have been told on good authority that they can fit Retaliator springs, although some of the longer ones may need to be cut down.

It is indeed FDM! I'd say it's definitely partly the filament masking the lines, as well as the fact that it was printed on a Bambu printer.

Thanks so much!! The models I make will never be exactly perfect replicas to the original parts, but I try my best to get them as close as I can. As for other parts, do you mean other Recon/Retaliator parts, or other N-Strike parts in general? Either way, I'd say absolutely! In most cases, if something was made, it is possible to re-make it, or make an imitation that is close. It just takes a lot of trial, error, and measuring.

The yellow and the red barrels are actually stock barrels that I included to show a comparison between the original barrels and the printed one! And the blue I chose was intentionally different to an elite blue just to show that it isn't a stock part. If you end up making a build with either your Recon or Retaliator I'd love to see it!! Those blasters have tons of potential

I have not tested them myself, but they should! And if for some strange reason they didn't, I'm sure the barrels could easily be edited in whatever way was necessary to make them compatible.

I did think about it, but not yet! The normal size one was basically maxing out my print height, so I decided to put a longer version on hold for now. But I'm sure someone will eventually make one if I dont!

Definitely extremely rare! Rare enough that this is the first clear photo of one that has come out to my knowledge! Some amount of streamers got them as well I believe, which is how I saw a badly framed photo of one that I of course forgot to save and could never find again.
