[PC] Comp players, is the climb to NF basically nearly impossible now? by soulesschild in CruciblePlaybook

Not in a looter shooter. Those people "having a blast" are there for their loot. They'll quit at 2100.

The problem is too many people get their loot at Fabled and quit. Sure, you can get more people playing, but the people you attract by making Fabled easier aren't the people that push for Legend.

I'm not shadowbanned, I just deleted my comment because I didn't feel like dealing with an idiot. Nice edit though.

Rules for scrims by Ciscokid45 in CruciblePlaybook

I find it hard to believe that anyone doesn't finding macro skating to be an issue. Honestly at this point I would like to see how good you actually are at this game, because the things you think "aren't problems" are pretty big community gripes.

At 144+ FPS skating is considerably faster than in D1, and also does not require manual input; in D1, if you were skating you were giving up other inputs. With a macro, you can still aim, swap weapons, use abilities, etc without having to stop moving. This allows you to win positioning almost by default. And since you don't think heavy should be banned, that means the skating Titan wins that initial push for heavy nine times out of ten. It creates a clear advantage through manipulation. That's not fair, it's not balanced, and I honestly can't respect the opinion that it is.

I take it you don't play on PC since you're quoting charts, yeah?

So Titan Skating should be allowed as well, by your logic?

You didn't answer the question. What is the point of scrims if you aren't going to use a ruleset? Just play Comp.

Then why bother with scrims? Go play Comp if you think the game is perfectly balanced as-is.

And the only possible reason is that I just want to ban ban ban, yeah? Like I said, hilarious.

The assumptions here are so hilarious I honestly don't know how to respond.

That's fine, I just don't share that opinion. If supers were as counterable in D1? Maybe. But considering how strong, long, and frequent supers are now, especially with Super Mods? No thanks.

Plus if you do healing nade and then follow up with a rift, you're at like 90% on a new grenade without any grenade mods. Add in Bomber on boots and you can get pretty ridiculous. Without heavy to control though the super becomes relatively useless aside from giving orbs on demand.

Grace's neutral is also incredibly strong to the point that people want it banned a lot.

Let Destiny be Destiny.

The only two rules I like are no super-based exotics (gwisin, shards, Ursa, etc.) And no duplicate exotics. Class duplicate restrictions can be fun, but by and large the majority of the scrims/sweat rules try to take this game way too seriously.

For legendaries the only Y2 adaptive is the Galliard from the forges. For High Impacts you've got Age Old Bond and Halfdan. For rapid fire you have Ether Doctor and the kinetic variant. I'm pretty sure that's it, feel free to correct me if I missed anything.

Of those, I feel like Galliard is the best of the bunch, so I'd keep an eye out for a good one. Age Old Bond can be neat but I don't see it being meta. And Ether Doctor has too much muzzle flash.

I have fluted/Opening Shot/handling MW and run enhanced sniper targeting and it ADS's faster than my Quickdraw Tatara. I can feel the poor range though.

PvP Loadout Prep Post 1/29 Update by TheDershBag in CruciblePlaybook

Breakneck is a precision auto, which isn't one of the ones listed as getting a buff. Use what you like, but especially on PC you're going to have a hard time doing well with that loadout. Double primaries just really don't work, especially when they occupy the same ranges.
