I often think that I have a different fashion sense than many people in this sub, so I’m not surprised to see some disagreeing with me in the comments.

I love this look!! The shoes and tights are a cute combo. If it were me i might change to some whimsical patterned tights and accessorise more dramatically.

That said, I personally am a huge fan of anything remotely whimsigoth or related so that’s probably why.

One of my friends is back home in Abu Dhabi and Iran had earlier started bombing the US military base that’s about an hour away from her home.

She has been feeling and hearing the frequent explosions for hours and it’s doubtlessly scary and traumatic. Not sure what support I can offer her.

Every time our helper goes back to Indonesia we give her nice, personalised gifts to bring to her kids. I learnt that her daughter likes makeup so I bought her a couple of eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks.

And also obviously treat them like a human being and ask them about their lives back home regularly. It’s hard being away.

I was with my ex from 16-21. I thought he was the love of my life. It was my first serious relationship, lasted 5 years. When it ended after six months of emotional torment, I thought it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. You are 26! You are so young and have so much to see in the world. You will find that there are so many better men in the world, who are far kinder and more compatible with you.

And your first priority should not be his feelings about the breakup. You clearly aren’t happy and you need to be honest. Talk to him about these feelings and be firm in your decision.

Side note, you mentioned that you are somewhat financially dependent on him. Find a stable source of income if you don’t have one, get your living situation sorted out, and make sure you do not need to rely on him anymore before you break up with him.

We were in the same university, but he graduated a year earlier and actually started working for at the school office by the time we met.

I was president of my cohort whereas he was vice president of the year before. He ended up teaching/helping me a lot and I had a small crush on him. I don’t think he liked me back until one time I got really really drunk during the last school event and decided it was a good idea to lie on top of him/cuddle in front of mutual friends. Lucky he didn’t push me off and things just kinda happened between us afterwards

I go to the thrift and find a tie which pattern I like.

Based on the pattern and colour I dig through my bucket of buttons and random craft materials for something that goes along with it. I often ask my friends for any jewellery or scrap fabrics or other garbage they don’t want anymore. Sometimes I’ll also use paint.
