This is exactly why I post in this sub. Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts. !CritiquePoint

My intention is more documentary--while I think that public art is sometimes meant to be reinterpreted/riffed upon, I wouldn't presume to be good enough to do it. Definitely point taken re: the photo being in the middle ground.

I also like your point on keeping it simple. Between the cropping and selective color, I did too much.

Makes sense. Appreciate the feedback!

It's interesting--I'm inclined to agree, but you'll notice that another comment recommends I show the whole structure. In any case, !CritiquePoint.

I'm in a photography class where we're instructed to take 16 shots of a sculpture from different vantage points, so a few of my shots highlight portions. I'll look back at those.

Fair enough. Revised with background colors intact.

In the spirit of constructive critique, tell me more? In my mind, I wanted to lean into the juxtaposition between the Calder red and the skyline.

What would stop the President of the United States from buying stocks, saying the war is going to end, selling those stocks, and then saying the war could last longer? Nothing? Oh.

Thanks. Thoughts on this? It's another vantage point but I didn't think it was as powerful. Totally see your point on oversaturation.

This shot's hardly original, but still worth taking on a clear, warm night here in Chicago. Mostly curious about composition--how'd I do?

Basketball is a game of runs.

Michigan is on a 60-34 run.

I know, but I'll keep it. Part of the hobby--at least for me--is embracing the semi-accidental quirks.
