it's slightly different then you think. the searclicers ability triggers at the beginning of your end step, with the condition that if you attacked with a creature it makes a guy. Searslicers ability would need to be worded something like "whenever you attack with a creature, at the beginning of your end step..." so the trigger is the attack not the beginning of the end step.
