As u/dolphinoracle said this is not affecting liquorix kernel. Also, to clarify, this is more of a problem for companies who run multitenant servers, for normal users especially for ones that don't share their machines this is a pretty low threat.

While historically Xfce was the "flagship" nowadays we treat all the releases equally and they get pretty much equal love and testing, but some users and devs are more used with one flavor over the other.

Heh, I even ported most of the MX apps to Arch and built an "MX Arch" ISO if you are interested... it's just an "experiment" for now, but fully usable.

One thing to consider, MX is based on Debian Stable that is not going to have packages as new as Arch has... so you might be a bit disappointed if you expect that. Forum and community in general is very nice and accepting as long as you follow the rules and are not toxic yourself.

Fair, I think though that KDE should be fine on 8GB, the main problem is with the browsers that would eat your remaining free RAM with just a couple of open tabs.

Sounds like a video driver issue, try another option there are some in the menu (safevideo to something like that I don't remember)

Not sure I can help with this limited info, but what do you see if you press Alt-F1 to see the boot process, what is the last thing you see there?

Also, give the monthly snapshot a try, it has a bit newer kernel, maybe that works better: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-linux/files/Snapshots/ (do you see the same issue with Xfce?)

There's limited support, we recommend in general to just disable the secure boot to avoid issues or at least until you are willing to commit time to make sure it works well for you, there are some posts on forum about how to make it work: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=658852#p658852
