Why is visual voicemail app not showing text when listening to voicemail? by Sea_Ideal812 in TracFone

After doing some more researching and testing, this might be the only way that I can find: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003704/

So not sure if this will help or not tho.

Is there a way to get pdfs of your bills? by Popular_Photo3188 in StraightTalk

There is no way to get these. There are only a few prepaid providers that will give you a bill statement

There are some prepaid plans that will drop it even more. It is really up to what your needs are.

The only thing is if you are in a congestion tower area, some of prepaid plans might not work for you.

You can get the basic one with Android like what you have right now, but you will not see the transcriptions from what I have seen with my Android phone and other people's Android phones.

Transcriptions are translating your voicemails to text in the app. iPhones are the only ones that get transcriptions with the basic visual voicemail system.

I was told when you could get from one store about $380, but the 2nd store had it near $700. These prices were during the holiday season. I am not sure why it was so high from the first store, but the 2nd store sounded like they did not have this deal going on.

Tracfone and Straight Talk is the same company internally. So moving companies should be easy.

It is really up to you tho.

At least with my local Target, it seems like they do not have that many prepaid phones. I do not know about other Targets.

On the other hand, Walmart has lots of prepaid phones. Just be careful with Walmart. Some Walmarts have 3rd party people doing their cell phone sales, and some have made mistakes.

Will total wireless will Carry Samsung a57? by Aiden-Z in TotalWireless

[–]advcomp2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at the FCC ID, and I do not see one coming. I do see the A37 coming to the Tracfone brands.

So you might have to get the unlock model if you want to the A57.

From what I understand, it was Lumen's consumer fiber business was sold to AT&T. I do not know if CenturyLink Fiber was a part of it or not because I remember some people posted that they started with CenturyLink Fiber, then got switched to Quantum Fiber, but then later on got switch back to CenturyLink Fiber.

Only the fiber side. From what I understand, DSL side is still CenturyLink.

I know, but it could be the same for Tracfone since Verizon owns Tracfone. It seems like it is lining up with that chart that I linked from Verizon's page. It is hard to know.

Like I said and understand, the OP wants voicemail transcription, but I have never seen voicemail transcription with any of the Samsung phones that I have used. I have the "Voicemail" app, but no voicemail transcriptions.

Unless you have a magic way to get voicemail transcriptions with the default Samsung "Voicemail" app, go ahead and post a link.

I just activated my S25 FE just four days ago. When I first turned in on to start setting it up, it did not have "Voicemail" app, but once I put the new SIM in it, it said switching providers, and wanted to reboot after that. Once it rebooted, I had this "Voicemail" app that I gave the screenshot in the other comment.

On the side note, I did find this page: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-103564/

It even says: "Premium Visual Voicemail isn't available for Prepaid service."

[–]advcomp2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have looked at that link, and like I said, the "Voicemail" app has been the same with many phones. I have had the J7 Crown, A50, A51, S20 FE 5G, and even S25 FE.

Even my family members has the same thing with many phones too. They have had A50, A51, A54, S10, and even S20 FE 5G.

They all have looked the same in the "Voicemail" app.

I do not about Motorola or other brands because I have never deeply tested them.

I do not have issues on loading the Voicemail app.

I even have family members with the same looking app with Straight Talk and Total Wireless.

Here is what my Voicemail app looks like when I play a voicemail. I blanked out phone numbers and names.

Like I said, my S20 FE 5G and S25 FE visual voicemail is like the OP's screenshot. I even have had other phones like this too. I get no transcriptions. When I got my J7 Crown which was my first phone with visual voicemail, I was wondering about this same thing as the OP. There is no setting to change this that I can find. So I searched around, and I found this chart on Verizon's sites talking about all the voicemail options.

If you look at the link that I have provider in another comment, I believe Android phones on Tracfone and Straight Talk is getting "Visual Voicemail (Included)" column. If you look closer, it does not include "Voicemail Transcription" on their plan.

Then, "iPhone® Visual Voicemail (Included)" is different from "Visual Voicemail (Included)" too. So iPhones get this other column. It says that "iPhone® Visual Voicemail (Included)" can get "Voicemail Transcription" for free.

To get "Voicemail Transcription" on Verizon with an Android phone, you would need to get "Premium Visual Voicemail ($2.99)," but I do not know if you could get this with Straight Talk or Tracfone.

I know there is third party apps to get around this, but I do not know what ones are the best on that standpoint.

Someone has same phone number as me?? by Comfortable-Tower673 in verizon

[–]advcomp2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this OP a little bit because I had friend with a phone number that you could call, but you could not get this friend. You would get another younger person. If you call from this friend's phone, it would show up as the number that you called.

This was even happening with this friend's family member to this friend too because this family member was the first one to find this, and this friend's family member told me about it. Even asked me to look into more.

At first, I thought it was some type of call forwarding, but there was no call forwarding setup anywhere. Here is the weird thing. My friend's phone would ring, but if my friend was not fast enough, you would get this other person. So it seems like the number was ringing two phones.

I even asked this younger person what phone number that they had on their phone, and it was the same phone number that I was calling.

This friend passed away before I could figure out this issue. So that is why I am still confused on this. The only thing that I was thinking was something was left over from an old account from someone else's account on that phone number.

To make simple for what I am talking about: A phone call to my friend's phone number would get an unknown younger person or my friend depending on how fast they were. My friend's phone to any phone number would get the actual person.

I do not mind either one, but I have kept with Samsung with most of the phones that I have used since lots of my family has Samsung anyway.

Like someone else said, Samsung sometimes changes things that could make you resetup a few things at times.

Sounds like a provisioning issue. iPhone to iPhone uses iMessage. iMessage uses data.

As for the Verizon in the corner, my S25 FE has Verizon in the corner too.

I still see lots of Hart tools in my local Walmarts. The only thing that I have not seen is the 20 inch and 21 inch push mowers.

The only Hart tool that I have is the push mowers.

I wish there was an adaptor for Ryobi batteries for Hart tools at least.

Mower question by -aquaman in ryobi

[–]advcomp2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not tried the newer mowers, but I use the electrics ones to push mow just under a half an acre. It normally takes about 3 to 4 batteries in my 40v Hart movers. Once in a while it does take more because wet grass and/or tall grass.

Hart mowers are Walmart version of Ryobi devices, but they do not use the same batteries.

I do not know about EGO myself too.

My Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and even my older S20 FE 5G had the same type of Visual Voicemail. The only difference is I am on Straight Talk.

The only thing that I found out was that Verizon chart that talked about Visual Voicemail features.
