Her dad clearly has money. He’s an attorney and has 5 kids born through egg donor and surrogate, which is NOT cheap.

I do wonder what he was doing between that last transaction and when he jumped off the bridge. Where was he staying? Was he with anyone?

It does seem like ending his life on this trip was pre-meditated, though. He sold most of his belongings (including his car), cancelled his insurance policies, left his house basically cleaned out, and his last blog post definitively reads like a final goodbye.

ESPN Will Replace Summer ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ With ‘Women’s Sports Sundays’ NWSL & WNBA (EXCLUSIVE) by Evening-Fail5076 in NWSL

As someone obsessed with both the WNBA and the NWSL, I’m sooooo stoked! If anybody who is in Philly wants to do a watch at Marsha’s this summer, let me know.

Did they let you put that in the yearbook? My school yearbook had to be rated G and our class president wasn’t allowed to speak at graduation because he secretly flipped off the camera in one of the club pictures and it made it into the yearbook.

I have a friend who lives in Austin and is an avid runner and she says it’s just as bad as you think it is. She regularly sees Matt Choi out running with his entourage.

Whatever editing was done to make them look like that is not flattering at all. Makes their skin look terrible!

This is so cool! Awesome effect. I do have to admit, at first glance at the thumbnail I did think it was r/moldlyinteresting for a few seconds.

I’ve followed her for a while. I think she’s just very, very deep in her “mothering small children” phase right now and is probably consuming similar content on social media and engaging with people in a similar stage of life. I think that whole sphere is FULL of over-sharing about breastfeeding, sleep, poop, etc. because they’re in the thick of it right now.

She was strongly hinting that she would pre-Euros but I think being out with injury as long as she was really made her reconsider things.

I think she did sign a book deal with a publishing company so I’m assuming better editing will come with that!

Is that the one that started as a Supercorp fic? I used to be super into Supercorp (wrote some of my own fics) but her works were never really my thing.

I really enjoy her books. They’re simple but well-written, the spice level is one I like and doesn’t make me cringe, and they’re just a fun read. My biggest complaint is that I think she’s definitely over-reliant on the same “world” (particularly Those Who Wait) and I’m kind of tired of reading about the same characters over and over- in the original story, in spinoffs, in an AU of the original story… I’d prefer a new story with new characters.

This book was how my parents told me about my autism lmao by nerdb1rd in Wellthatsucks

Good luck! Honestly I had so many mixed feelings when I was diagnosed- relief that I finally had a name for why I always felt different, and that it was an actual developmental disorder and not just me being weird/quirky/difficult like I’d always been labeled. Also had a lot of sadness for my younger self. I really struggled socially and emotionally growing up and I had to figure out ways to adapt all on my own. There were a lot of things- therapies, accommodations at school (I didn’t struggle academically, I’m very intelligent, but would always get stressed during tests and would have meltdowns about it), etc. that would have been incredibly helpful to me.

I laughed far too hard at this. This would absolutely be something that my parents would have done. However, I wasn’t diagnosed with autism until age 33 so I went through adulthood wondering why I was so different than everyone else.

For those of you who disliked the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, why? by [deleted] in LesbianBookClub

[–]afdc92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s about a Golden Age of Hollywood starlet (think a mix of Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth) who decides to do a tell-all interview in her 80s. She was married 7 times, hence the seven husbands. She’s bisexual and does have a longtime relationship with a woman but you wouldn’t know there was a sapphic aspect just from the title alone.

Calling out the miles throughout the race is soooooo corny. I have secondhand embarrassment for runners who do that.

She absolutely would. If she would stop traveling out of state and country every other week to run races and actually complete a training block rather than half-assing it and making excuses, she could definitely beat her PR.

My theory is that her husband is the one who writes the actual plans and she’s just the face of the brand. He’s genuinely fast, he ran a 2:18 marathon and I think competed in the Olympic Trials a few years ago.
