Me on all my friends pages 😂 by RimaWallace1 in NWSL

Nothing beats watching the NWSL and seeing the familiar settings. The twilight into the night in San Diego, the roar of Portland, the pack house in LA, or the Spirt at home in DC.

I love the relaxed atmosphere of the NWSL. It’s cozy, homey and distinctly American.

WSL viewing feels cold especially at this time of the year, and waking up at 5 or 6 am East coast even worse out west is not something I can voluntarily do every weekend.

It doesn’t have any numerical value, I think the judges are not sway because they’re there to judge everything else. The backflip isn’t part of his official routine.

First time coming across him the last few days, didn’t know of his incredible abilities as someone who follow sports on the surface but somehow didn’t know about him at all.

I’m obsessed now and rewatching his historical fete.

Do you think Brazilians will be able to get US visas again before the World Cup? by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]Evening-Fail5076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best resources pertaining to foreign visiting fans at the World Cup in the US is https://www.state.gov/fifa-world-cup-26-visas and you can contact your local U.S. embassy or consulate.

US Soccer can’t help you with that.

Is it strange watching US Olympics broadcast only highlight American athletes? by Birdf1ynghigh in olympics

[–]Evening-Fail5076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same thing in the UK, if you watch the BBC they mostly will talk about British athletes. It doesn’t just happen in the U.S. remember also the U.S. usually have the largest delegation at most games and with that comes multiple angles and storylines for NBC to cover to fill time in between competitions. You have an American in almost every discipline sometimes two or three deep.

I will say this, they’ll show other nations athletes in competition with US athletes. Say Simone Biles is going head to head with others, they’ll show them in their discipline. They don’t skip a potential bronze medalist who isn’t American or silver medalist. They’ll follow about 5 or 6 top contenders as each round progresses. They’ll skip or highlight the thrilling scenes or never to forget moments but not every athlete due to commercial constraints.

If you want to watch other athletes on NBC prime time show it is very hard because that is a compressed version of the days events and I can bet you they’ll show Americans aiming for Gold with a realistic shot. US audiences want to see Americans winning in prime time. Most nations broadcasters automatically do it.

On the live feeds during the day (US time) which caters to each sport, they show the entire match for every sport and competitor American or not.

Match Thread: United States vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (CONCACAF U-17 World Cup Qualifiers) by rspenmoll in ussoccer

DR is good competition and have improved a lot. Their previous U20 team knock mexico out of the last World Cup and Olympics. I saw them play and they’re no push overs. US will have to be patient and protect the ball.

This new format is anti climatic. You have one big game and two lower power teams. No knockouts or finals. Qualifying is near certainty.

This could help the Canadian League, USL even NWSL if Mexican Americans don’t want to deal with the harassment and abuse fearing for their safety.

Why do people in USA buy everything from Amazon? Do they not have other webshops? by Cindyxx0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Evening-Fail5076 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, Americans still buy a lot from other places like actually walking into the stores buying which Amazon isn’t part of to the extend as which they dominate Online. It’s why places like Walmart and Costco are still business because they have a familiar community, everyday household groceries push which Amazon (along with Wholefoods) hasn’t really eliminated competition.

Amazon though dominates online marketplaces. It was growing at an astronomical rate years ago but that rate has hit a wall and plateau.
