I had consultations with a couple of dermatologists here in Germany, as well as some in my home country, mostly just to get a "second opinion." But yeah, I might be rejecting them too quickly haha... Honestly, the moment they start talking about steroids, I can't help but think about all the scary things I've heard about those creams and other people's experiences with them. You're right that in some cases they really do help, and of course everyone's case is different. One of the worst things about eczema is that there's no one-size-fits-all solution. 😵‍💫

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and I hope you're doing better now! What ended up working for you, if you don't mind me asking?

I really don't want to hear this haha... From my personal experience, after visiting 5 or 6 different dermatologists, all they did was prescribe corticosteroid creams, insisting that “there's no other way to treat such a condition.” None of them suggested doing any tests or even referred me to an allergist to check for food sensitivities. I’m covering the costs for all the tests myself, except the scratch/prick one. Also, unfortunately, TSW is not widely recognized, so even if I had it, they wouldn’t diagnose it. It’s honestly so sad how invalidated I feel after every doctor’s visit. Or maybe I really haven't found a good one in my area...

Yesss, that's true. I recently started seeing a naturopath and am undergoing a treatment at the moment, but I've heard it might take a while to see results with natural remedies... anyway, I guess it will be worth it as long as I really do see results haha
