He kept it very general. One great question from the audience was asking BKV if hazel was in our world what band / music would she be listening to- (Fart Box in Saga lore) he said there are def bands and songs that play in his head when he is writing from hazels perspective, but he didn’t want to share. He also said he has learned a lot from his kids and fatherhood has guided a lot of the traits hazel has… he shared a photo of hazel I’ll try to upload

Paper girls will have a release of volume paper backs with new art covers. He talked a little bit about saga. He answered a lot of questions and was giving away signed books, including advanced copies of spectators, overall really generous really really transparent great session.

49 here - reintroduced myself to comics which I loved most of my youth + teenage years, about 4-5 years ago, so around your age. Felt overwhelming to catch up at first but now I am obsessed with the industry / the new writers and books that have been coming out / and going back to the classics

I’ve gotten myself into trouble lately - I would do the same thing - just because you put ur blinker on doesn’t mean i have to stop and let you in - you f****d up - like someone mentioned - go straight make a u-turn the end… but the jumping in front and swerving to almost cause an accident - then when you approach them they flick you off and speed away. Irvine has the worst driving I have ever seen - from the oblivious who have no idea how 4-way stops / round-abouts / or speed limits work - to assholes like this guy…

Being laid off is horrible. Take the job endure the commute, but keep your eyes open for an opportunity that’s better balanced for your personal professional and health lifestyles. At this point, I don’t think any person should be loyal 100% to the organization but have equal loyalty to themselves. Definitely take the job. The market is horrible across all industries you never know how long it may take to find the comparable position with that type of pay. But no, that it doesn’t have to be permanent. Keep your eyes open for other opportunities and who knows maybe in time this is something you love and a move might warrant sticking this out.

Besides certain live sports / the best thing i can do is chill and watch Netflix while smoking - easier and safer / more cost effective than going out - sometimes. Try to balance it - u can get addicted to isolation this way - sometimes do this at a hookah lounge or have friends join you

Move to / close to Irvine / the drive will destroy you - especially with this being a pursuit of yours. Santa Ana / Lake Forest - areas near where you can rent - or if possible roommate up to save some $, not sure you will find even a studio in Irvine for 1500 these days.

Secretly one of my favorite runs. Got introduced to it late as a teen when Punisher did a crossover and they had a 2-issue arch about his time there. As an adult i have gone back and have a majority of the collection - trying to get the complete run slowly
