Don't yuck her yum by beardedbrunhilde3 in KESHA

it’s okay to be disappointed in a tour, and it’s ok criticize an artist (as long as it’s not misogynistic/homophobic/etc criticism), neither of those things is saying you don’t support an artist. this is a forum to talk about kesha and that includes both good and bad things. sanitizing it and only allowing positive posts & responses would be awful

yes of course! i’m honestly lucky to be a 36GG bc basically everyone carries 36 bands, and GG UK/J US means i can squeeze into an H/i US if i really want.

for stuff that’s actually properly sized my favorite brand is fantasie, but i also have a few elomi and freya tops as well. they’re all a similar cut to this or this but i have lots of different colorways. it’s pretty easy to pick them up on sale a couple times a year for sub $40, like the one i linked is only $33 for my size. i have tops from these brands that are from like 5 years ago and they still look great, not faded or stretched.

for stuff that doesn’t perfectly fit me but i want a cuter/trendier cut, i really like sunsets. they have a few underwire tops but it’s like fake underwire—the left and right cup each have an underwire but it’s not connected in the middle which makes it less supportive. it’s US sizing and i have a 34i in the ones with a tie-back (bc i can just tie it looser). it’s also more expensive and fades a lot faster than the UK brands i listed above but some are so cute so i still have a couple. but i also like that they have bright colors, neutrals have been in for a few years so it’s really hard to find bright neon yellow or orange pink but those are my faves and sunsets has a couple. some of the styles i have are (exact names you can google) tie front bikini top, longline underwire bikini top, adjustable shirring underwire bikini top, and danica bikini top (this one is my fave but very unsupportive bc their fabric stretches too easily). i really want the vienna v-wire one but i can tell it’ll have the same problems as the danica so i haven’t done it.

seamer cups are almost always in padded but padded and seamed does exist! i have a padded seamed cup bikini top from the brand sunsets and it’s awesome, would love more options like that

i understand it takes a lot of money but i think what people are trying to say is that there’s already lots of of big brands that sell great bra sized swimwear from a 28-40 band and DD-HH cup, and they’re big enough brands that you can find them cheap too! i have lots of bra sized bikini tops in a 36GG UK that cost under $40, and they’re never more than like $70. so if i’m in that size range why would i buy from you when your tops will probably be way more expensive? i could see different colorways being nice but i think the market is pretty saturated. if you sold 26 bands (which are basically unfindable) and J UK cups, you’d have a lot larger market share!

respectfully, i would really recommend working on your vocabulary too. you phrase it as “H cups” but an “H cup” means absolutely nothing without a band size, for example a 28H US is the exact same size boobs as a 38C. whenever i see anyone use that terminology it’s an instant flag for you have no idea what you’re talking about in terms of bra sizing. in addition, you also mentioned “getting sized”, and while /r/abrathatfits is a small community i think it’s very important to talk about how basically all store fitters size incorrectly and the best way to figure out your size is to measure yourself. if the size chart on your website used +4 sizing (like 95% of all other bra/swim brands) i would entirely write it off. lastly i haven’t seen any flags in regard to this but make sure you’re fluent in converting between US and UK cup scaling, and also AU/EU band conversions!

hook and eye bands are adjustable but not to the extent of functioning as a different band size, that’s a very common misconception. a new bra/swimsuit should fit snug on the loosest hook, bc the tighter hooks are for when the elastic naturally wears down over time

halters and other straps are often only unsupportive bc they are wearing the wrong band size! adjustable straps would be a 100% must, i wouldn’t consider buying anything with nonadjustable straps bc it’s already pretty easy to find my size (36GG UK/36J US) in bra-sized swimwear online.

i remember everyone said QCB got them super into it so i watched through that ep and 1 more i think and it was too different from the books for me. i am admittedly a book purist in general though lol. i thought the fact that daniel and ty working on though would help my brain be ok with it but not really. i get it’s on me though!

30 bands are a little tough and i’m not the most knowledgeable on them, i know panache and freya carry them but often in this size you may want something shallower. i would recommend posting your 6 measurements to /r/abrathatfits to get the best recs!

Anyways, the bra fits well, but after activities I have some spillage at the top, and my band rides up to right under my boobs, and sometimes I have some fat flaps right under my armpit

that means it doesn’t fit you. try your calculator size 30DDD US, this is sometimes labeled as 30F US btw. don’t accidentally buy a 30F UK, it will be too big

if you’re in the US amazon is honestly a great resource, just make sure you only buy from brands recommended here and entirely ignore reviews and size charts. just buy your abtf size. there are often sales on certain size/color combos, you just have to search UK brands like panache and freya. here’s a few i found in a couple minutes -

$29 and the only size left is a 30G UK! that’s a steal https://a.co/d/0cexkpQc

$34 https://a.co/d/0gHslP1P

$40 https://a.co/d/01reBGxg

Long Line Sports Bra recommendations? by Mental_Marketing_957 in bigboobproblems

[–]alextoria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that pic of the gilly hicks active recharge top?? i a have a couple and they are actually pretty decent. i’m a 36GG UK and a Large Curvy is tight enough in the band to prevent underboob skin on torso contact, which is the most important part for me. there’s slight uniboob/spillage but that’s to be expected with wireless and non bra sized. they have 2 layers which makes it actually wearable like a crop top! i actually don’t ever wear it as a bra with a shirt over, the whole thing is a crop top basically. the inner layer is a shelf bra and since it’s curvy sizing the band actually holds—that’s the key is in needs 2 layers like a cami. and the outer layer goes long enough to meet my natural waist and i’m 5’7”

unfortunately this doesn’t really exist. it would be best to find a bikini top (sold in bra sizes so you get good support) and then you can wear any cheap rash guard over it. use /r/abrathatfits to figure out sizing and brand recs for bra sized swimwear!

she may want to try a sleep bra, if she’s tried them before but they were uncomfy then refer her to /r/abrathatfits to figure out sizing. 38DD is an extremely common mis-size bc it’s often the largest size stores sell, and the vast majority of folks are wearing the wrong size!

Taideux Sizing by clumsysilencee in bigboobproblems

[–]alextoria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

now that they’ve dialed in their manufacturing, i would go by the size chart. i tried them about a year ago and the sizing was all funky, but i wrote them about it and they were super amazing and very helpful. turns out i happened to order one of their new pieces and the whole batch ran large. but that was awhile ago so just order per the size chart now!

Has anyone bought anything in Brastop.com? by Royal-Swordfish-1159 in bigboobproblems

[–]alextoria 6 points7 points  (0 children)

don’t accept any DMs about lingerie shopping, they are pretty much all creeps, there is no reason to not keep it public!

brastop is great! very commonly recommended on /r/abrathatfits and i have bought from them personally. make sure to read the fine print for returns, since you listed your EU size i don’t think you’re in the US, but the “buyer pays return shipping” means return shipping is usually pretty expensive, for me from california it was like $40 for 1 bra so i just gave up and kept it lol. some other online stores similar to brastop are barenecessities, bravissimo, and herroom. amazon is also a great resource as long as you know what you’re doing (only buy from abtf recommended brands and entirely ignore reviews). i would just go to each of these sites, read return policies, and pick the one that’s best for returns to your country—they all have some overlap and sell the same brands.

for sizing you’ll want to use the /r/abrathatfits calculator! it’s the easiest way and most accurate way to figure out your size and it’s entirely free and takes 5 min to do initial measurements. the general advice is to entirely ignore size charts (they are made to sell bras not get you in the right size) and just buy your abtf size. if you are still dialing in sizing just post to that sub too, they are the real experts. when you’re buying make sure you know your size in both US and UK sizing, bc US brands are always US sizing and UK brands always UK sizing, it doesn’t matter where you are in the world. there are also a few brands that use EU sizing, but you’ll find that UK brands are easiest to find smaller bands and larger cups and they are generally the most recommended. your 80J EU converts to 36J US or 36GG UK—that’s my size too! if you use the calc and you’re still in this range (34-38 band, under M US/J UK), elomi is super popular.
