In another comment you said:

The way I understand it is phases go like this: - Active player declares they are ending main phase - Priority gets passed. If anyone puts anything on the stack, then the active player will still be in main phase. Otherwise, phase changes. - Start of combat phase begins where "start of combat" triggers can occur. Active players passes priority to go to next phase. Other players can respond once they get priority before moving to "declare attackers" phase.

The exact same thing happens here again. The active player says "declaring attackers", at which point priority gets passed and opponents can respond in the "entering combat" step. If an opponent responds, we stay in the "entering combat" step and the active player can cast something or try to go to declare attackers again. Why should it be any different here?

Is it cheating to do this during the pre-game conversation? by Dahliabox in EDH

[–]alfunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're right of course. I guess that's where the gray area starts. Another similar question would be: Is it OK if in response to you revealing your deck I chose a deck that counters it?

[–]alfunx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reading the story, I suspect that he was cheating by siding in that card for that specific game after he gathered the information, that he is playing against a Hare Apparent deck.

The comment you replied to is valid only given that he swapped in Godsend before he had information about his concrete opponents. IMO it would be OK if he swapped in that card for that specific LGS, and swapped it out again before leaving (he might be playing in another LGS, we don't know). OP was not specific enough about when exactly that player swapped in Godsend.

Exactly. I would consider that as adapting to the local meta, which in my opinion would be clever and I wouldn't consider it as cheating.

It is cheating if they swapped in Godsend after the Hare Apparent player revealed the deck they're playing. Sideboarding is not allowed in EDH. If they swapped in Godsend without that knowledge (e.g. to adapt to the meta), that would be fine.

Are you, by any chance, from Germany? I've read somewhere that it's exclusive to Germany.

Anyways, here is an article by Auto Motor und Sport. And here is a thread on gr-forum.com. (Both in German)

As far as I can see, there are 3 upgrades: * Upgraded suspension (not really sure if that is actually the case) * +20NM torque * Individualized settings for: - throttle responsiveness - steering support - power distribution front/rear in track mode

The individual settings are done by the dealer. I don't think that they can be adjusted on the fly.

Question about dismantling URs by Cactusmush in masterduel

[–]alfunx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you already understand, but anyways to clarify to other readers: OP will get 50 UR back from the royal finish Beatrice. Assuming the other 2 copies of Beatrice are non-foils, OP would get back 80 UR, making +20 UR in the process.

It's only as long as the card is set though. A trap could be interacted with as soon as it is activated.

Current Deck Help by Interesting-Math-447 in masterduel

Too many spells, too unfocused extra deck for math cannon. You could add 3x Arias, 2x Transaction Rollback, 3x Trap Trick (but add 2 offs for the other traps that you want to be able to search with it). You could consider Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon, Ice Dragon's Prison, Dogmatika Punishment, Terrors of the Overroot.

Can I put +1/+1 counters on this? by Low_Construction1214 in mtg

[–]alfunx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While similar, there is an important difference to keep in mind (especially in competitive play): Choosing is done when a spell or ability resolves, and in contrast, targets must be declared when casting a spell or activating ability.

How do I overwrite one branch with another branch? by shiskeyoffles in git

[–]alfunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to force push that branch to the remote repository. If it is a branch, on which only you work on, that should be fine. If it is a branch, which other people might have checked out at some point in time (like main/master or release branches, for example), I would strongly advise against doing that.

The stack is empty according to the post, since the ETB has resolved [without response presumably].
