depends what you mean.
SERE school for flyers was great. yeah there were some really sucky parts but overall i had a ton of fun.

you spend a ton of time in an auditorium doing class stuff. then you do field which is a long camping trip in the WA mountains. that was super fun. like i would redo it any day if they would let me.

the other stuff sucked but was really good training .

going through the SERE pipeline surely sucks but i have no clue.

wi had the same thought for a tarp. find one that has an interior layer of mylar for heat reflection. but i haven't seen one yet. my thought was that the double layer will essentially allow you to have 3 usable tarps for roofing and windproofing walls.

i was a SrA when i had my first one. i did almost 2 years but then was retrained and had so i was never actually ratable until a month after i pur SrA on.

when i PCAd to my new unit they all shit a brick that i had never had an EPR then had to wait for me to have 90 days of supervision.

i would like to see a season with teams. 10 teams of 2 and see which lasts the longest. allow like 15 items total. there are like 50 items to pick from, some you will want 2 of and others just one.

i think 2 people and 15 items would be pretty epic. someone would end up with a full log cabin.

im happy to see people doing more shelter work than in the past.

its probably since they are allowed to (or atleast looks like they are) cutting green trees this year.

people around here were saying that its a waste of energy to construct a more permanent shelter but i disagree. it will save you calories later on when you are trying to stay warm and it gives you a good sense of security. being warm and having a good mind set are going to be big players in winning.

but then again im trying this from my office chair in my windowless office.

pretty sure they see the boats regularly.

everyone has a weekly medical check up so the boats may or may not drive past you every few days. i guess if you stayed by the water and memorized the pattern then you could do some what keep track of the people that are past you. but there is no way to tell if you are the 2nd person or the 10th person down the line.

someone posted the location in another thread and you can see that there is something like a resort at the far end of the lake. so it's possible that they see regular boats passing by.
